24.01.2022 Bicycle helmets work! , , , ( ) . Helmets are incredibly important. Research shows that since the introduction of mandatory wearing of helmets the death rates from cycling accidents have dropped dramatically. Helmets work!... Wed like to encourage parents to set a good example by wearing your helmets too, and also ensure that helmets are correctly fitted. When wearing a helmet use the 2V1 rule. The helmet should be no more than two fingers above the eyebrows, the side straps should be fitted close to the ears to make a V and you should be able to fit one finger under the chin strap, too loose and it is useless. As the weather improves, we hope to see more students embracing the "Your Move" ethos and selecting active travel alternatives to get to school!
