25.01.2022 Garden Party Is being released this Thursday night at 7pm (SA time) I fell in love with this print from @brookgossen as soon as I saw it, and knew it would look ah-mazing on a frock. Im beyond happy with how it turned out- I freaking love it!! What do you think?

25.01.2022 Once a week, I attend a sewing group. Its an amazingly nurturing community of women. . The group is mainly made up of women older than me, all of whom have big families including lots of grandchildren who they often talk so proudly about. . Sometimes, not a lot of sewing gets done because theres too much to talk about. But we are always working at our own pace, making something for ourselves or discussing what we will be making next for ourselves.... . Its always at this point, that the body hatred starts being verbalised. It is such a heartbreaking conversation to witness. These amazing women who have lived such full lives and have been blessed by their bodies ability to birth beautiful children, travel, create memories, forge careers and rule as the matriarchs in their family. Yet the focus is on how much they hate their body and physical appearance. . I know as women, we get conditioned to think and feel like this. But I also know that I dont want to look back at my life with regret because I was worried about the opinion of others. . Its a mammoth task to de program yourself from this way of thinking. But for the sake of my own well being and in turn for my daughters well being, Im absolutely doing my best to cancel this destructive and toxic way of thinking and being. See more

24.01.2022 Hands down, The Wizard of Oz is in my top 5 of all-time favourite movies. . . I am adamant that as a very little girl, this is where the seeds of feminism were planted for me. I mean, its no cowinkydink that the only people in this film that hold any real power are all female and that all the men in the film are lacking in some area. .... . 20.01.2022 Something New! . A few new things are being released this coming Thursday. . Let’s start with this new print from @gabriella.domin.design called ‘Morning Walk.’ This total dream of jewel coloured goodness will be available in a frock but also in Curvature’s first top! ... . It’s taken a while to release this and all your input was paramount in making something you wanted. . There were at least 7 toiles made and lots of ripping up of draft patterns and starting again. In the end, It made sense to use the same bodice as the frocks for this top. That way there was familiarity with the size and fit. . As always, the sleeves are customisable with the added option of a frill . There’s much more detail in today’s stories about front frill lengths and measurements which I’ll save in my highlights under ‘tops.’ . 18.01.2022 Better days are coming . Its hard to not focus on the shit show that this year has been. I usually gravitate towards the negative side of things taking a more pessimistic approach . But, Im really making an effort to focus on the positive. It wont be shit forever, I feel it, I know it. Better days are definitely ahead.

13.01.2022 New dress, who dis? Could not be happier with the process around my new dress from Curvature! Lisa is wonderful. Sent me a toile so that I could work out my sizing and any needed customisations to make sure I was going to be happy in my dress (and any future purchases!). I love the fabrics she works with and love that I now have a beautiful dress that fits how I want, in bright cute colours! @naterin . . . Its been a month since the Sizing Kits became available. At first,... I wasnt really sure how it would go, and whether you folks would like the idea. All I knew was the fact, that it is an absolute pain in the arse shopping online as a plus size woman and that I wanted to try and make it easier anyway I could. . . Its an understatement to say, but the response has been completely overwhelming!
