Pregnancy and childbirth place significant amounts of strain on the pelvic floor and menopause thins the lining of the urethra. The Urology Care Foundation stated that in 2014 roughly to 1/3 of all men and women in the US suffer from urinary incontinence. That means roughly 33 million people have an overactive bladder. Studies have also indicated that around 1/3 of women have urinary incontinence and up to a tenth have fecal incontinence after childbirth. 19.01.2022 This morning I had a choice but the mindset was telling me different I could either have a ‘lie in’ afterall it’s Sunday and isn’t that what you do on a Sunday Or get out on my bike and take advantage of the sunshine and this beautiful place we are very fortunate to call home Take in to consideration Over the last 4 weeks I have been following the Curves New Weight Management Program which fortunately for me this morning has not been just guiding me through making be...tter nutritional choices to enable me to improve my physical well being but educating me about mindset habits self sabotage encouraging me that I can make changes whilst still living life Having family commitments work commitments etc I am learning to appreciate life doesn’t stop and i cannot put it on hold whilst I try and improve my physical and mental well being I am learning with the great support of my Curves Coach Rhonda that I am stronger than I think Having the accountability and the opportunity to talk about how my journey is going is invaluable I can’t do it by myself but what I can do myself with the encouragement is slowly but surely work on my mindset and tell myself it’s ok to make a change and most of all it’s ok to put myself first at time too and not feel guilty over it Am feeling awesome and now I need to go otherwise I’ll be late and my cycling buddies will wonder where I am Have a lovely happy Sunday See more
