20.01.2022 I VW's!! I had the privilege of building some cabinets for this beautifully restored Kombi. Unfortunately it was in a jam packed workshop and I couldn't get any good photos of it but trust me, it was beautiful.

20.01.2022 I finally got some time to start working on my van today, it's now stripped, cleaned and the tiny bits of superficial rust have been treated. I then got to work on the floor, glueing down some battens and laying sound deadner/thermal insulation; for this I chose the foam/foil type with adhesive backing. 11.01.2022 Finished one project and on to the next. It's been a quiet couple of years for me on the van building front as I was off work for 6 months after surgery on my foot, I then managed to sneak in a bit of overseas travel before returning and working for a shopfitting mob. When darned coronavirus hit the shopfitting work dried up and I have returned to fitting out vans, there's no shortage of work in the van world that's for sure! With all overseas travel and even interstate travel restrictions people are looking to get out and explore our great state. I am currently taking bookings for small fit outs, renovations and modifications until I find myself a workshop space again and can take on bigger projects. Stay safe groovy vanlifers!

11.01.2022 Spent the afternoon cleaning out 10 years of dust and dirt from the Transporter with my fairy god-daughter. It's an ex plumbers van and they have had it since new so there was a LOT of dirt under the raised floor they had installed. Greatful to have such a good helper!
