24.01.2022 It's crazy how much the world has changed of late, however can we all just take a moment to appreciate this stunning 2014 BMW M4 we had in for a maintenance detail last week. Yes, this car had a Modesta Australia ceramic coating applied to the paintwork back in 2017 and over 60,000km of daily driving later, the paint still looks better than new.

23.01.2022 We recently had this well maintained and loved, low km 2006 model VZ Thunder Ute in for a Wheels off Detail, Paint Correction & Modesta Ceramic Glass Coatings applied to paintwork and windows. Whilst fairly clean to begin, we set about improving each and every surface of the vehicle. The owners main concerns were the build up of bonded contamination on top of the paintwork and the swirl marks and water spots in the paintwork along with the general build up of grime in all ha...rd to clean areas such as around badges and moldings which would be expected on a car of this age. First the wheels were pulled, arches and suspension detailed plus bodywork deep cleaned and decontaminated. Then an intensive paint correction using Modesta's own polishing system (C-02 Compound and Pads) followed by Modesta P-01A Primer and one thick coat of Modesta BC-08 Neosilica Matrix Ceramic Glass Coating. All exterior glass and mirrors were compounded using Modesta's own designated window polishing system and sealed up with Modesta EGC (Exterior Glass Coating) Final touches to this project included an engine detail, exhaust polishing and a clean up of the interior windows & trim. 12.01.2022 After sitting in a collection for 30 years, this recently acquired 1974 XB Fairmont GS Coupe came into us with the main concern being that the paint work had little to no lustre and we were asked if we could do anything with it. With no evidence of paint fade or oxidation, the dull finish was a result of millions of microscopic and random in-depth scratches otherwise known as swirl marks - no doubt caused by years and years of dry wiping it clean to a point that the finish s...topped reflecting light like a nice paint finish should. Upon inspection and some testing, it was determined that this was not in fact the original paint job and had been resprayed with a clear coat paint system at some point between 1974 and 1989. As you can see in these photos, the wear and tear on the paintwork was severe. To restore & protect this paint finish we performed an intensive paint correction by releveling the clear coat with Modesta C-02 compound & Modesta buffing pads and Rupes machine polishers. The gloss black GS decals were also carefully machine polished to remove oxidation before an application of Modesta P-01A ceramic coating primer to all painted surfaces and finally, it all buttoned up with one thick coat of Modesta BC-08 Neo Silica Matrix Ceramic Glass Coating. An engine bay detail was also carried out along with glass cleaning, chrome polishing and interior wipe down/vacuum however with only 30,000 original kilometres on the car, the interior did not require nearly as much work as the exterior did. We were so pleased to be able to assist the new owner by improving and protecting this yellow blaze classic couple without the need of regular polishing or an expensive respray. 11.01.2022 We recently finished up a complete detail, paint correction and Modesta BC-05 Ceramic Glass Coating on this stunning Holden Ute. This car was built by Maskell's Customs & Classics in Shepparton and debuted at MotorEx in 2016. Since then the Poison Ivy green beauty has been enjoyed by it's owner, however after getting caught in a dust storm, it was due for a serious detail. After a thorough interior, exterior, underbody & engine bay clean, all paintwork including the flat ...bottom tray was machine polished out with Modesta compounds followed by an application of Modesta P-01A Primer & BC-05A-B Advanced Water-repellent Ceramic Glass Coating with Infra-red heat lamp curing. Final touches included polishing of all the billet aluminium and chrome work including the exhausts. The car was then loaded back into a transporter to head home and be enjoyed by it's owner for many more years to come. 11.01.2022 Here's some before, during and after photos of a Red Hot Holden VF2 Commodore we spent some time correcting the paint and installing a Modesta Australia ceramic coating on. The results are quite remarkable considering how much wear and tear was present on the paintwork when it arrived. The car had just been purchased from a used car yard and the new owner immediately booked it in with us for a proper detail & paint protection. 09.01.2022 Apologies for the lack of updates. We have been completely inundated with work (a good problem to have apparently) which gives us little time to post. We promised the owner of this car that we would upload an album of the work we did to it back in January. It's a recently purchased 1968 Jaguar S Type that came in and was treated to a major exterior detail consisting of intensive paint correction and Modesta Glass Coating with great results. The car was resprayed around 25 ...years ago and as you can see in the photos taken prior to paint correction - the paint finish couldn't get much worse - 25 years of wear and tear in the way of heavy oxidation, water spots, swirl marks, scarring and general imperfections that were robbing the paint finish of any real lustre or gloss. Until we took paint thickness measurements we were going to recommend a re-spray of the vehicle, however once they were done, we realised that this was a very high quality paint job when it was done all those years ago with a great amount of paint to play with so to speak. Knowing this, we could safely go in deep enough with our Rupes buffers and Modesta compounds and pads to achieve the desired finish without compromising the integrity of the paint job. Around 30 hours of machine polishing was required to correct the paintwork followed by application of Modesta P-01A primer & Modesta BC-08 Neo-sillica Matrix Glass Coating which further amplified the gloss and provides a level of protection not possible with regular car wax. The glass coating will provide the owner with an easy to maintain paint finish without the need of regular polishing - a good wash and dry followed by a quick detailer type maintenance spray is the best way to maintain a glass coated vehicle. 08.01.2022 In 2006, this car was Ferrari's new flagship model, capable of 320kph from it's 456kw naturally aspirated V12 engine. Fast forward a few years and this particular 2006 example was showing it's age with the entire paint work riddled with buffing holograms, haze, swirl marks, fine scratches and not so fine scratches....all evidence of the paint not being cared for very well since new. This car had actually been freshly detailed in-house by a luxury car dealership literally a ...week or two before we got our hands on it but it wasn't very good so It was the perfect candidate for our high level paint correction and Modesta Glass Coating services. After taking paint thickness measurements, we delicately re-levelled and polished the paint finish to a high gloss with over 40 hours of paint correction using Modesta C-02 compound and Modesta buffing pads coupled with Rupes machine polishers. This tedious and highly skilled procedure completely removed all the wear and tear from the past and restored the shine and lustre to as good, if not better than when it left the factory all those years ago. After paint correction, a layer of Modesta P-01A coating primer was applied followed by an application of a single thick layer of Modesta BC-05 Advanced Water-repellent Glass Coating and immediately Infra-red cured for increased resistance and strength. Prior to paint correction, the paintwork, rear diffuser, exhaust pipes and mufflers and exhausts tips were heavily contaminated, requiring hours of cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, clay barring and tar removal. The Interior was also carefully detailed pristine. We put a combined total of just under 70 hours into this project and were very pleased to deliver it back to it's new owner with an absolutely new lease on life whilst providing an easy to maintain paint finish without the need of regular polishing. A simple wash and dry followed by a quick detailer type maintenance spray is the best way to maintain a glass coated vehicle. 05.01.2022 One of the bigger projects that we've been able to finish up recently was this one-owner 2014 Octane Orange Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo that was sent in for a restorative type detail including full paint correction, heavy decontaminations, complete interior, exterior, engine bay detailing and installation of Modesta Australia Ceramic Glass Coatings. A whole week was spent preparing the paintwork to make it as perfect as possible prior to coating - carefully relevelling the paint wo...rk by machine compounding and polishing with Modesta C-02 compound/pads and also removing in-depth hard water spots for a flawless mirror finish. Removing the in-depth hard water spots with the repeated use of heat lamps and machine polishing is a time consuming but necessary step to ensure that the spots don't re-appear underneath the coating once applied. One third of the car had been re-sprayed twice in different sections so the re-finished panels required extra work to match the factory paint finish. Once ready, Modesta P-01A primer was applied as the base followed by BC-05A-B Ceramic Glass Coating with immediate Infra-red curing for consistent hardening of the coating membrane structure. Modesta EGC also applied to exterior windows. After a total of 2 weeks worth of work, we handed this perfectly clean car back to it's owner with a better than factory finish, enhanced and protected by Modesta, to enjoy for many years to come.

05.01.2022 A returning client to Custom Care Care Wagga with another Rising Blue Volkswagen Scirocco R for detailing, paint correction and Modesta ceramic glass coatings application. We actually did the first VW back in 2016 on what was a 4 year old vehicle at the time. Then in a cruel twist of fate, that car was written off earlier this year in a terrible hail storm over in Canberra. Having already known the benefits a Modesta coated vehicle brings to car ownership, as soon as a repla...cement vehicle was sourced, our client gave it to us for a few days to have the same treatment done. This low km 2014 model Scirocco R was purchased from Melbourne a week before we got our hands on it, and whilst only 35000km on the clock, it presented with heavy wear and tear to the paintwork in the way of swirl marks, blemishes and random in-depth scratches, which is not unusual for a car of this age - especially one that has been washed with brushes at a self-serve car wash all it's life. To prepare the car for Modesta coatings we performed an intensive paint correction service but not before an extensive exterior decontamination and detail of all bodywork, wheels, door jams, engine bay, wheel arches & glass. Paint correction was taken care of with Modesta's own correction system - C-02 Compound and micro-wool pads plus Modesta P-01A Primer/finishing polish and foam polishing pads all with Rupes polishing machines. With the car finally ready for Modesta BC-05 Advanced Water-repellent Ceramic Glass Coating, one thick coat was carefully applied, followed immediately with intensive Infra-red heat lamp curing for extra strength & resistance of the coating itself. Exterior windows and mirrors were also prepared for Modesta EGC (exterior glass coating) using Modesta's own window compound to ensure the proper bonding of the coating to the windows. We were pleased to be able to take care of our client again by making his 6 year old car look as close to new as possible. 04.01.2022 We're overdue for another album showing you guys what we love to do. The Maloo came to us earlier in the year with the owner wanting all the marks and blemishes in the paint removed and to get a quality ceramic paint coating applied. Even though he bought the car new, he said he'd never been happy with the finish and without going too far into why it never looked right, it was now in the hands of true professionals. We performed a wheels off detail starting with paint deco...ntamination and multi-step paint correction to not only remove the previously applied poor quality ceramic coating but to also eliminate all swirl marks, scratchings, water spots and general dullness. Next was application of Modesta P-01A PRIMER & Modesta BC-04 Nano-titanium Glass Coating and proper Infra-red heat lamp curing. The brake hubs and calipers were first cleaned and then a fresh coat of silver paint was applied to the hubs followed by a fresh coat of clear paint on both the hubs and calipers (HSV calipers from factory are not clear coated and fade quickly otherwise) Once cured, 2 layers of Modesta BC-06 heat resistant coating was applied to the hubs and calipers and with Infra-red curing. The wheels were decontaminated, machine polished inside and out then given 2 coats of Modesta BC-06 heat resistant coating and also Infra-red curing. Detailing of the interior, engine bay, cargo area and glass also completed which finished off this project. 02.01.2022 Following on with our recent post last month of the beautiful old Jaguar, this car was also a week long project completed for a fastidious local car owner with pleasing results. We absolutely revitalised this 10 year old Holden SS ute with our Advanced Detailing, Paint Correction & Modesta Glass Coating services. Enhancing the Voodoo Blue paintwork to a level better than what the factory ever achieved. First we cleaned and decontaminated everything, including the wheel arche...s. Next steps were intense paint correction starting with wet sanding some areas of the bodywork to texture match any previously repainted areas to the same texture of the original paintwork followed by comprehensive machine polishing utilizing Modesta compounds and pads for a swirl free shiny finish. Now the car was ready to apply the ultra durable and super high gloss Modesta Coatings beginning with Modesta P-01A Primer and BC-04 Nano-titanium glass coating on the paintwork. Modesta BC-06 Heat Resistant Hard Glass Coating on the wheels and brake calipers and then coated the plastic guard liners with Modesta EPC - exterior plastic coating. 01.01.2022 Returning to Custom Car Care with a brand new Triton dual cab after having a Modesta coating applied in 2016 to another one of his vehicles, our client was concerned that the paintwork on his new Triton had already started to fade and wasn't very easy to wash or dry either. We set about making the single stage non clear coated paintwork as glossy as possible and adding a layer of super durable ceramic paint protection.
