05.01.2022 Each year in October its safe work month in Australia. Safe Work Australia (SWA) provide a stack of templates posters, tbts, banners/email branding etc, jump on the website if you're interested and sign up. Its a good reason for workplaces to put a little bit of extra focus on WHS. There are a stack of things that you could do during this month including: - Additional workplace observations - Additional Audits... - Put in Hazard improvement quotas (i.e. aim for 5 per week) - Commit to completing actions / improvements - Hold a special safety meetings / tbts - Put up the posters, have a weekly / monthly safe focus topic - Watch some of the videos seminars and podcasts on SWA website (see the jayco example one below showing innovation in manual handling - just one that caught my eye) - Review a different procedure each week / quota for procedure reviews with the team It's not yet October I know but these things need thought and may take time to plan if you wish to participate hence why they start sending these out now.
