23.01.2022 It is with great regret that we have made the decision to temporarily close the gates to the CVRCM Club flying field in Longlea due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We have been in discussion with the VMAA and are taking direction from the Deputy Chief Health Officer’s Non-Essential Activity Directions. The direction states that all outdoor recreational facilities in Victoria must cease immediately. This includes our regular group flying events, meetings and also solo us...e of the flying field in Longlea. As I’m sure you understand, having to temporarily close the club is not a decision we have taken lightly, however the health and wellbeing of our members, families and the wider community is our number one priority. 04.01.2022 Due to the ongoing threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the new social distancing and non-essential gatherings measures announced by the Federal and State Government, we have made the decision to cancel all future events at the Central Victoria Radio Control Modellers Inc site in Longlea. This includes all Sunday events and monthly club meetings. Although we are not closing the site completely and do encourage members to continue flying, we ask that you please limit the numb...er of people at the field at one time (no more than 10 people) and practise responsible social distancing. Our main priority is to keep our members and the wider community safe, so please understand this decision has not been taken lightly. We will keep you updated as the situation progresses.
