22.01.2022 It is day two of Our Womens Refuge Starter Kit Collection at KMART Baldivis and we wanted to officially thank every body so far. No matter if you dropped some spare change in our tin or bought a couple of items, it is all a great team effort to build our kits! But we wanted to give an extra special shout out to some people who have blown us away! To all those lovely people who have donated a whole kit, we are absolutely grateful for your kindness and generosity. Many of you ...are anonymous but we have loved chatting to you all when you have stopped by including the team at Ultra Tune Rockingham. Also those who are transferring straight to our bank account, thank you, we will use your donations to buy the spare pieces we need to build kits. And our volunteers run on coffee & cake so a big shout out to Tim at Jamaica Blue Baldivis for supporting our volunteers needs We hope to see you today or tomorrow. 08.01.2022 Homelessness week starts tomorrow so it was perfect timing that we helped out and did a garden tidy up at CWA Cockburn Lodge in Rockingham. This lodge provides low cost over 55s living to people that often would otherwise be homeless. A fun morning was had as many hands make light work! 05.01.2022 We love working with other CWA of WA branches & in particular our fellow daytime CWA Baldivis branch! 27 hand made quilts with 27 hand made carry bags have been given to us to distribute to families escaping domestic & family violence by the CWA Baldivis ladies!!! These have all been lovingly made by donated materials, and have been crafted in just the last 6 months by members of Baldivis CWA along with ladies from a Mardella craft group joining in as well. Absolutely am...azing beautiful work! We are so happy to be able to help out with distribution. Anna, President of Baldivis CWA is holding up the pink quilt, with our lovely Annette on our Womens refuge team is holding up the green quilt.
