22.01.2022 Today our Goolgowi/Gunbar RFS team of volunteers have headed off to assist with the fires. Whilst Goolgowi is not directly impacted by the fires. I'm sure you all know someone who is. We now have our very own local volunteers heading to impacted areas to assist. ... The Goolgowi CWA would like to extend our thanks to each of you for volunteering and representing our community in such a profound way. Look out for each other and keep safe. 18.01.2022 Good evening. Today we farewelled our friend Jan. It was a perfect send off and I feel blessed to have been there. A true family lady that was dearly loved. Thank you to the members and friends that contributed time and food. Everyone enjoyed the food and it was a lovely afternoon. Thanks ladies, we did Jan proud May she Rest In Peace. xx

10.01.2022 Based on some feedback we have decided to have 1 evening meeting each quarter. Our 1st evening meeting will be Wednesday 18th March at 7pm at the CWA Rooms Goolgowi. ... 09.01.2022 It is with great sadness i tell you that we lost one of our long time friends and member Jan Ziebarth on Tuesday. Jan was an active and wonderful member to CWA for well over 28 years. She never missed a meeting, was always present with a smile and the first to pick up a tea towel. She will be sadly missed but beautifully remembered. We pass on our sympathy to her lovely husband Neville and her many family members. xxx

08.01.2022 Given the current health situation and advice all Goolgowi CWA activities ie, sewing/cooking lessons(plans we had for school holidays) along with our usual monthly meeting have been put on hold until further notice. All the very best to each and everyone of you....be safe....if you can stay home...please take the advice we are given and "self isolate" with the exception to essential activities ..this is the current advice and what we have been a guided to do! One of the most important things during these unprecedented times is to keep communication open...please keep in contact with friends and family as we navigate our way through this....our personal and mental health is Sooo important....
