24.01.2022 Our Island is devastated But we as a community rally in times like these. While the East side of K.I is untouched for now we are all doing our part. We have made animal pouches for the injured animals, given donations of food, clothes, toys and so much more. Feed those in need and offered our homes to friends and families who need them. We will survive

23.01.2022 ** COVID-19 UPDATE ** Unfortunately we are still keeping the C.W.A building in Penneshaw closed. We operate on a volunterring rotation to clean the building and with everything going on we feel we can not guarantee the sterilization of the building and its rooms. We are sorry to the many groups that use our building but we feel health and safety must come first.

20.01.2022 The volunteer sewing ladies from Mandurah Sew'n'So's just got these gorgeous quilts to the SACWA Mt Barker Branch all the way from WA in the nick of time before... the borders shut. With assistance from the CWA, my office and the office of Dan Cregan - Member for Kavel have around 90 hand-sewn masterpieces to distribute for free to bushfire-affected families in the Adelaide Hills and on Kangaroo Island. Call my office on 8398 5566 or email [email protected] if you know someone from the fire-affected communities who would love a quilt. Big thank you to Amanda from the SA Country Women’s Association Mount Barker Branch for co-ordinating this project with Mandurah Sew'n'So's. See more
