25.01.2022 Please share with any new mums in your network. Great chance to hear from experts from the comfort of your couch!

25.01.2022 We held our 6th zoom meeting last night and boy was it great to see the awesome ladies in our branch! Our conversation meandered across many different topics, we had a bit of impromptu show and tell on things our members have been working on over the last month and Audrey showed us a cute little Christmas gift basket to sew up. But most importantly we connected with each other. Sharing some laughs and some sorrows and growing the beautiful friendships that have formed. I’m so grateful for these ladies in my life.

23.01.2022 Last night we welcomed a brilliant guest speaker, Jude Mayall, of The Outback Chef. Jude spoke about how she became fascinated with indigenous foods, the producers she works with and how she has seen indigenous ingredients become weaved into restaurants and home cooking. We are all inspired now to include indigenous herbs and spices into our cooking! Thank you Jude for your time and a really informative presentation!

12.01.2022 With the closing of many Maternal Child Health Nurse services and discontinuation of face to face New Parent's Groups during the COVID-19 pandemic, breastfeeding mothers in Port Melbourne may find themselves in need of help, information and support. The Australian Breastfeeding Association Inner South East group is running an online Zoom group: Online Catch-up, Friday 17 April, 1pm-2pm Come chat about isolation life with other mums just like you in our online meeting this Fr...iday. Our Zoom catch ups are a casual, kid-friendly space to connect with other mums and talk to our trained volunteers about anything on your mind. And if you need a little one-to-one help or breastfeeding counselling, we can use the ‘breakout room’ feature for a private chat. Simply email [email protected] or send me a PM to get the Zoom meeting ID. There are also free national resources available for help with all things breastfeeding: the 24 hour Breastfeeding Helpline (1800 686 268) and LiveChat, which can be accessed on the Australian Breastfeeding Association Website between 12 midday-2pm and 8pm-10pm Monday-Friday. 11.01.2022 We are all safely (and gratefully) tucked up at home but can’t wait to explore our great country again when it’s safe to travel. We look forward to planning visits to more of our CWA family. In the meantime, we are taking this time to happily daydream. https://youtu.be/kKma8WB4JyY

09.01.2022 Our member Anita found these records belonging to her late Grandma Anne Shady (Beatrice) at their family farm this weekend. Anne was a member of Coleraine CWA and was involved in the creation of the branch sometime in the 1930’s and was once Vice President CWA Victoria. She must have attended the 10th Triennial Conference of Associated Country Women of the World in 1962, perhaps as a member of the choir. Amazing dresses! Thanks for sharing Anita

07.01.2022 My husband, in his childhood, knew us as the Chin Waggers Association, but I like the sound of Chicks With Attitude! Regardless of our nicknames, we are well known for supporting those in our communities who need a helping hand and for our advocacy for change. #CWAStrong
