22.01.2022 Finally had a meeting at our rooms today. As a shared lunch was out of the question, we walked down to Pig Out Takeaway for our lunch. As usual it was a very pleasant day and we are planning on an outing to Macquarie Park on 27th. Let’s hope we are still able to be out and about then.
22.01.2022 Two members of Richmond Branch spent a couple of hours today making pouches for WIRES. The organising ladies and other attendees were delightful - we did enjoy ourselves and were proud to be part of this endeavour.
21.01.2022 Allyson and I are at the CWA Rooms, 18 West Market Street, Richmond for anyone who needs a place to take a break, have a cuppa and a biscuit. We have toilets and cooling systems and lots of tables and chairs.
19.01.2022 On this coming Saturday, November 7, the Hut in Richmond Park will be open with handmade baby and children’s clothing, scones, small cakes and slices for sale. Looking forward to seeing lots of visitors to our stall.
13.01.2022 On December 21 one of our Life Members, Marge Freeman, will turn 100. We are going to take her a morning tea on the 20th to celebrate. She is still as bright as a button!
13.01.2022 During isolation one of our members, Margaret Coakes, was busy making these exquisite little masterpieces. On next Saturday we will be opening our Hut in Windsor Street Richmond to offer these for sale. Below are some examples of what is on offer. See you there - we will be obeying all the C19 rules!
13.01.2022 Meeting day today and we have a shared lunch followed by a lesson on using recycled articles for craft from an expert. I have my Gluten Free Orange and Ricotta Cake in the oven - I hope it turns out as I don’t have a Plan B! Our Branch Land Cookery Day is on this coming Saturday and I have opted to make this particular cake so, after seeing all the posts about it, thought that I should do a practice run. Wish me luck!
07.01.2022 Tomorrow we are back at the Hut in Windsor Street from 9 until 1 selling more hand made children’s and baby’s clothes as well as toys and plants. Stop by to say hello and check out the beautiful offerings.
07.01.2022 Lovely lunch at the Boathouse - our International Officer claimed it as our International Day with Fish and Chips.
03.01.2022 We are back in the hut in Windsor Street Richmond from 9 until 1. We have some very special handcrafts, small cakes, slices and scones as well as plants. Call around to say hello - we would love to see you!
02.01.2022 We had a lovely morning today at our Hut with the beautiful goods made by Margaret Coakes. Thank you everyone who supported us - it is much appreciated.
