25.01.2022 I hurt just thinking about this race. Awesome effort.

25.01.2022 This is an awesome section south to Connor Bluff on Curtis Island from yesterday's ride with Gladstone MTB Inc. I'll post another video later of the whole day's ride.

22.01.2022 Great news and such a beautiful part of the world. Kudos to the locals who have put in so much hard work to keep the momentum going.

20.01.2022 Bit of fun from yesterday arvo's e-bike adventure. I don't have the bike long enough to do the full bike review I'd hoped for but I managed to get some fast segments in. Jackhammer was epic and I'll post it later today. Rocky MTB - Thanks to BIKES on HIGH - Rockhampton's Premier Bicycle Store for the demo bike. https://youtu.be/GNL5eFgF7bc

20.01.2022 Interesting tool, will be fun to check out when it comes online to members.

19.01.2022 Practical use for an old bike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrN6vR5PFfI

18.01.2022 Had a few people on the MTB social rides curious about giving track cycling a go. Here's your chance to come and see what it's all about.

17.01.2022 Getting pretty pumped about this race. I'll be one of the foxes on my fully rigid gravel bike getting hunted down by the pack of hard-tails and dual-sus hounds in hot pursuit. It's going to fast and crazy on the low trails of First Turkey - Hope to see you there - Only 2 days to go! ~ Andrew T

17.01.2022 The end of a great night ride at First Turkey last night.

15.01.2022 Well, this has been a MASSIVELY HUGE job collating all the bike clubs and social riding groups throughout Central Queensland, and I'm sure I may have missed a couple - Mackay and Gladstone seem a bit short - so please have a read through and circulate so I can make the list as accurate as possible and get more bums on bikes :) ~ Andrew T http://www.cyclecq.com/your-local-bike-clubs-in-central-qu/

14.01.2022 Just in case anyone missed details of tomorrow's social ride, we're heading up to Mt Morgan tomorrow to check out the newly opened MTB trails. Everyone's welcome, the more the merrier, and it will help bring some tourism to the town. Hope to see you there ~ Andrew T

13.01.2022 Time to start training guys and girls. Don't forget we're doing a few laps of the course this Tuesday night for anyone who's keen (must be a club member). http://www.rockymtb.org.au/2020-3-hour-xc

13.01.2022 With MTBA and BMXA both voting yes, we're one step closer to having AusCycling as the unified national body for all cycling disciplines. It's all up to Cycling Australia now.

13.01.2022 Tuesday night's Rocky MTB social ride was a ton of fun. Here are the highlights http://www.cyclecq.com/zamia-trail-night-ride-20200114/ #FirstTurkey #visitRockhampton

11.01.2022 Latest advice from the Federal Government requires Australians to stay at home unless shopping for food and other essentials, attending medical appointments, ex...ercising or attending work or education. However please follow your State or Territories guidelines. If you choose to ride, please follow the ride etiquette listed below and work together to stop the spread of COVID-19.

11.01.2022 This has become a great annual event at First Turkey. Even if you don't ride gravity enduro, come along and watch the action. Heaps of fun!

09.01.2022 It's that time of year again when clubs start compiling their race calendars for the coming year. Part of what Cycle CQ is about is to help clubs avoid date conflicts when planning events. We do that by monitoring the feeds of all bike clubs in Central Queensland and compiling a central race calendar for all cycling disciplines. Something to consider also while we're all planning ahead is that a lot of cyclists are multi discipline - road and XC races are a good example where cross-over can be a problem. Events held on the same day, even in different disciplines, can seriously affect rider turnout on the day. Here's the link to the calendar. I hope you find it a helpful tool. ~ Andrew T. https://www.cyclecq.com/event-calendars/

07.01.2022 Should be a fun event. Had a good time last year. Would be great to see some more riders come along.

06.01.2022 After long months of dissent amongst many road and track cycling clubs around Australia, the inevitable has finally happened with Cycling Australia voting at a special meeting to join AusCycling along with Mountain Bike Australia - MTBA and BMX Australia. The pressure will now be on this new national body to provide its members, regardless of discipline, with a functional, fair, and innovative vision for the future. Hopefully we will see great things come out of this. https://cycling.org.au//cycling-australia-votes-yes-join-a

06.01.2022 Progress. This is a project we really hope to see get going.

05.01.2022 Thanks to Rocky MTB and Gladstone MTB Inc. for putting on another great year of racing.

03.01.2022 OK, this is the rest of Sunday's social ride. Done and dusted. Thanks again Gladstone MTB Inc.

03.01.2022 Righto, it looks like all the road, MTB, BMX, and Tri clubs now have their official race calendars published. I've added them all to the Cycle CQ central race calendar, so check it out to see what's happening in your town this year. If I've missed any race dates, please message me with details ~ Andrew T https://www.cyclecq.com/event-calendars/
