19.01.2022 How does VLC Receive the SRT Stream of Kiloview HD Encoder? As a multimedia player of the Video LAN Project, VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player. The blog below will explain how VLC receives the SRT stream of Kiloview HD Encoder. Add an SRT service to a Kiloview encoder.... Ensure the encoder is running firmware 3.0.0 or greater. Click Settings to the SRT configuration page. When you are receiving an SRT stream with VLC, you must select LISTENER mode on the encoder. Start by configuring a monitoring port (for example, 12456), and adjust the transmission latency to suit your network quality. Start the push service and save the configuration. Open VLC, click on Open Media, select Network and fill in the receiving address and port number in the URL box. Fill in the IP address with the address of the encoder or the public network address and keep the port the same as the encoder. Click Open and you should be able to receive the SRT stream. A true distribution amplifier, DISTRO4 splits signals from two antennas (or one Diversity Fin) connected to the rear panel and amplifies them before delivering the signals to multiple receivers in a rack.
