You will greet people, your family even, and you will influence how the other person is feeling at that present time. I want this to be an empowering post rather than burdening post. My story with Achalasia, varies from other sufferers’. When I was 19, I was diagnosed with a swallowing disorder that effects the oesophagus. It primarily effects the peristaltic contractions which aide food down the oesophagus and through to the stomach, and also effects the LES (Lower (O)Esophageal Sphincter) which relaxes to allow food to pass through.
