23.01.2022 GrandView Happy Days (Halo) is into her third week of training and coming along in leaps and bounds. Im so proud of how this beautiful strong willed filly has turned her focus to learning and she is loving all the work thrown at her. She is now channeling all her energy in the most positive way after a challenging start (for me as a trainer!) 21.01.2022 Training baby horses requires a lot of problem solving, thinking and always figuring different ways to address road blocks. No horse is the same and therefore should never be treated or trained the same and on the same time lines. Some take a whole lot longer than others, but its always worth it when you come out the other side. Stevie, you have challenged me, you made me think outside the box. 20.01.2022 Sorry for the absence! Life has thrown me a curve ball and Im out of action for a little while due to a tumble and a couple of broken bones in my back. Ill be ok, and just a little time off needed. Thank you for all the training enquires - Ive had to push everyone back a couple of months so I can heal but Ill be back in action before you know it and all systems go! 19.01.2022 Very proud to support my dear friend Susie Walker today at her first dressage competition with her homebred pony, Sterling. They did an amazing job and achieved brilliant scores. Im so glad I was there to watch and cheer you on Susie! Sterling spent a small amount of time with us in January for some training prior to my injury and we have been all working hard as a team for months in the lead up to his debut today. 17.01.2022 Today we had our first competition for 2020 with Harry at Adelaide Hills Dressage Club. Harry was a total gem, on his game and did everything his mummy asked him, even with only 3 rides under his belt since we got home from Bali last week and 3 weeks off. He didn't put a hoof wrong and was relaxed and happy all day. Unfortunately 'mummy's' brain was still on holiday, getting error of course in the 3B costing us the win and a couple of silly rider miscommunication's after when... my mind went into a tizz! Not to matter - Harry placed 2nd in both the Competitive 3A and 3B with consistent scores and solidifying in my mind that I now have an Elementary horse! The rider still needs work A lovely sunny day, dancing with my beautiful boy and with great company. Not much to complain about at all x

16.01.2022 We welcome back Daitan Crown Versace (Zippy) for his second prep into his saddle education process after an 8 week break from his first round of work. Im so pleased he picked up right where he finished off. The babies never forget the lessons, good or bad and we believe in progressional training in blocks of 2-3 weeks with a big break in between. Im very proud to have bred this gorgeous kid, hes so sensible and straight forward to start under saddle. Day one and straight back in the saddle with no issues at all. Hes going to be a great riding horse for his owner Nilla Burghardt . Hes so much fun to work with.

It’s been a long road back to full health after a nasty fall earlier in the year, but we are back in full swing now! 07.01.2022 2019 SA ARABIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS Today Harry became King of the Ring at the SA Champs! What an incredible horse we have had the privilege to breed, own, produce and compete. Not only that, hes just a really nice person, my friend, dancing partner and inspiration for our silly hack out songs .. (Haaaarry the horse.. hes a big red horse....) Harry delighted judge Mieke Bigg all day to win all his classes and we finally took that SA Cup home!... Harry was awarded: SUPREME Senior Derivative of show SUPREME Ridden Derivative Exhibit of Show Winner of the SA Championship Cup Thank you to the committee, SAARABS, judges, volunteers and competitors for making this a great show even if the weather was poo . As we say crack on..! And my all weather pony and everyone else did just that in very trying conditions. Without sponsors, these shows cant go on, so a massive shout out to the wonderful and generous sponsors who supported this show and donated time, goods and services. 02.01.2022 Ive been a little slow on the updates with these two incredible 3yo fillies who are about to enter their third week of training with me. Both these girls are being started from scratch so Ive really taken my time with them to instil and consolidate good solid ground work, mouthing and driving. The girls have all the gear on every day and are getting better and better by the day. Both are focused, trusting and ready to learn. Just about ready to ride! Watch this space! Day two today for 3yos Halo (GrandView Happy Days) and Barbie (GrandView Bling It On) both of these very special fillies were hand picked from Janeth Flowers foal drop as babies to stay and go under saddle so Im very excited to be working with them both at last!

01.01.2022 Dream day!!!! What an absolutely smashing way to finish off a big dressage year for me and Harry. My superstar home bred and trained boy had his first Competitive Elementary starts at Southern Vales Dressage Club today. ... I couldnt believe how he danced for me. Taking out the win in the 3A by 4% with 67.639% I was smiling my way up that centreline to our final halt!!! He maintained his competitiveness in the 3B for a 2nd place and excellent feedback from the judges. What a wonderful way to end the year! Special mention to my darling best friend Tracey-Lee Nicol who did her first dressage test on her gorgeous Baybee today for the win and a super score. There really is nothing better than dancing in the sunshine on beautiful horses with your best friend Harry gets a little holiday now while we go to Bali for a few weeks. I cant wait to consolidate his training and chase those bigger scores. Thanks as always to our support crew for getting us ready.
