25.01.2022 For so long, we've not seen adequate investment in active transport infrastructure for our communities by the state government. I understand how difficult it is... to move away from driving when you have speeding cars, cracked footpaths and bike paths that are only a line of paint on the road (if there is any at all). That's why I'm proud to say that the Greens on Moreland Council have doubled the spend on bike and pedestrian infrastructure from $5 per head of population to $10 #MorelandVotes

20.01.2022 The Greens worked hard to improve engagement and transparency in this Council term. Here are just some of the key actions I'll be taking and/or following up in Brunswick and wider Moreland. Standing with James Conlan for the Greens South Ward. #Morelandvotes James Conlan Authorised by Mark Riley, 1/45 William St, Melbourne Vic, 3000

10.01.2022 This Council election make sure you put a one next to your local Greens candidates not just because of the quality of their policies but because Greens Councillors do the work. Across the state Greens have some of the best attendance rates at briefings and meetings of all candidates. Informed Councillors make better decisions for their community.

07.01.2022 Today, we, the Moreland City Council Greens candidates are excited to launch our plan to Re-wild Moreland -- by planting 1 million indigenous trees, plants and ...grasses on public and private land in Moreland by 2030! This will be amongst the largest re-wilding projects in Moreland's history -- restoring and creating bushland corridors, cooling our community and providing precious habitat for native species at risk of local extinction. It will also create entry level jobs for young people We'll also set up a Moreland Nature Plan Advisory Committee to provide expert advice to guide our plan, along with Wurundjeri Elders. Another reason to vote [1] for your local Moreland Greens candidate this election! #MorelandVotes

02.01.2022 We’re very excited to announce that we have installed 6 new water fountains across Moreland in a partnership with Yarra Valley Water's ‘Choose Tap’ program. ...One of the fountains includes a collaboration with artist Robert Michael Young who created a striking work of art that also functions as a water refilling station. In celebration of NAIDOC week, we spoke to Robert about his influences for the work, and the connection between water, the land and community. To locate your nearest water fountain, visit Yarra Valley Water’s Choose Tap tap finder website: https://choosetap.com.au/tap-finder

02.01.2022 Given their connection to local communities, councils will play a pivotal role in responding to the climate emergency. If elected, I look forward to working wit...h residents and local community groups in exploring community-controlled energy and efficiency upgrades, especially for low income people. Unlike the major political parties, the Greens don't take donations from the fossil fuel lobby. That's why we're committed to bold action to tackle energy poverty and global warming. Vote 1 James Conlan for Moreland South Ward!
