23.01.2022 Congratulations to the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP who has been elected as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly for the 57th Queensland State Parliament.

23.01.2022 Did you hear? To get Queensland working again, we have to change the government on 31 October.

The link to apply for the pass is not yet available, so please keep an eye on the below link to apply for one once it is updated: https://www.qld.gov.au//bor/border-restrictions-8-aug-2020

21.01.2022 Don’t leave it to chance. Change the government to get Queensland working again.

21.01.2022 The Palaszczuk Labor Government has refused to rule out increasing your taxes if they are elected on October 31. Labor had no economic plan before coronavirus and still have no economic plan now. When Labor runs out of money they come after yours. An LNP Government will provide the economic leadership that Queensland is desperate for. The LNP will produce a full budget in 100 days.... And we’ve guaranteed no new or increased taxes if elected. 19.01.2022 Today is Jersey Day, the perfect opportunity to start a discussion with your loved ones about organ donation. I have chosen to donate my organs because organ donations save lives, have you? You can register your decision at www.donatelife.gov.au... #jerseydayau #donatelife See more

19.01.2022 Labor’s double standards are galling. It shouldn’t be one rule for celebrities like Tom Hanks and another rule for everyone else. When everyday Queenslanders are subjected to hotel quarantine in small hotel and motel rooms without microwaves or outside areas, Labor is again giving VIP’s the red carpet treatment.

17.01.2022 Thank you to the Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce Inc. who teamed up with the Southport Chamber of Commerce and Greater Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce to host this mornings "Meet the Candidates Breakfast" at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was great to have the opportunity to speak for a few minutes on issues that are important in the Mermaid Beach electorate, and the LNP's plan for Queensland's economic recovery.

13.01.2022 Queensland Police Service have released CCTV and are appealing for information in relation to a fire that extensively damaged a health spa at Mermaid Beach in the early hours of November 4. The vision shows two offenders at the rear of the building in the moments before and after the fire started at the Cronulla Avenue address. Emergency services were called around 3.45am after smoke was seen coming from the premises. The fire was put out a short time later, however the b...uilding was badly damaged. Preliminary investigations indicate the fire was deliberately started in multiples locations within the business. Investigators are urging anyone who may have information in relation to the incident to contact police. If you have information for police, contact Policelink by providing information using the online suspicious activity form 24hrs per day at www.police.qld.gov.au/reporting or call 131 444. You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day or call 1800 333 000.

13.01.2022 What a perfect day for Surf Life Saving Queensland to kick off their Season Launch. Today, the LNP announced we have pledged $3 million for Surf Life Saving Queensland to ensure the volunteers in red and yellow can keep beachgoers safe this summer. The commitment comes after the Palaszczuk Labor Government failed to negotiate a funding agreement with Surf Life Saving for the full financial year.... Surf Life Saving Clubs are the heart and soul of our communities and it is important we support their mission to patrol our beaches and keep us safe.

12.01.2022 Queensland Seniors Week provides opportunities to promote positive community attitudes towards older people and ageing, facilitate community participation, and enhance community connections, aligning with the Queensland Government’s vision of building age-friendly communities in Queensland. 12.01.2022 THE LATEST BORDER UPDATE!!!

11.01.2022 A Rabbit was spotted grazing in the electorate of Mermaid Beach with the Minister when his patch is supposed to be Burleigh! What sort of a dumb Bunny doesn’t know where his rabbit hole to hide in is? P.S. You might want to check the Burleigh electorate boundary!

11.01.2022 Queenslanders want a plan to stimulate the economy and provide a decade of secure jobs, and that’s what the LNP will deliver. Just like how a reconstruction authority takes charge in a disaster, the LNP’s Economic Recovery Agency will lead Queensland’s economic reconstruction. A coordinated economic reconstruction is needed to drag Queensland out of recession and create jobs.... Instead of rebuilding damaged infrastructure after a disaster, the LNP’s plan will deliver the New Bradfield Scheme and build new dams and roads to stimulate the economy. The Economic Recovery Agency’s first 100-day action plan will be to coordinate: Delivering the New Bradfield scheme Establishing the Queensland Dam Company to progress the Nullinga Dam, Urannah Dam, Rookwood Weir, Burdekin Falls Dam upgrade and Emu Swamp Dam Fixing Paradise Dam utilising international expert advice An immediate audit of stalled major projects and fast-tracking approvals across all government agencies Issuing the tender documents for the $1 billion South-East Queensland congestion busting infrastructure stimulus package Fast-tracking approvals for the Second M1 Delivering 4 new ICE rehab centres Promoting Queensland as the low tax state for investment because of our no new taxes policy Implementing our Queensland Investment Partnerships, to secure $1 billion of private sector investment Reducing water prices for SunWater irrigators by almost 20 per cent Establishing our Industry Skills Council to ensure vocational training is meeting skills shortages Fast-tracking air-conditioning every state school classroom to support local tradie jobs

10.01.2022 Annastacia Palaszczuk has been telling you it's the health advice that's dictating her government's COVID response. Turns out it's political polling, paid for w...ith your taxes. And while she was in your pocket, she took even more for government ads and her Labor cronies. Don't forget Labor's failures. On 31 October, change the government.

10.01.2022 The Palaszczuk Labor Government has introduced nine new and higher taxes. This is costing every Queenslander almost $800 and ripping $4 billion out of the economy. At the same time, Queensland has the worst unemployment rate in the nation. Change the government on 31 October.

10.01.2022 Today is Yellow Ribbon Day. Yellow Ribbon Day is a day to acknowledge and support the commitment and dedication that 33,000 rural fire brigade volunteers provide to Queensland. I am wearing a Yellow Ribbon at Queensland Parliament today to show my support to the RFBAQ - Rural Fire Brigades Association Queensland Inc.

06.01.2022 6500 manufacturing jobs have been lost in Queensland in the past year under Labor. Our priority is to create secure local jobs which is why an LNP government wi...ll invest $15 million in a new manufacturing factory based in North Brisbane for a total of $150 million with Visy. Construction is scheduled to start next year, creating 300 construction jobs and 140 workers ongoing manufacturing jobs. Only the LNP will support manufacturing projects with a no-new-tax guarantee, a $20 million Built-in-Queensland initiative, less red-tape and lower energy costs.

06.01.2022 BREAKING: Today’s shocking rise in unemployment to 8.8% in Queensland shows the state urgently needs a plan to stimulate the economy and create jobs. A record 234,800 Queenslanders are officially out of work. Queensland had the nation’s highest average unemployment rate before the coronavirus began as well as the highest number of bankruptcies and the lowest economic confidence.... The Palaszczuk Labor Government has no budget and no economic plan for Queensland. Only the LNP has a plan to stimulate the economy, create a decade of secure jobs and drag Queensland out of this recession.
