04.01.2022 Meet the dads behind Dal Mondo! Nonno Franco, the master of vino and sausage day, a true gentleman who loves his pasta. Nonno Ben, not here to enjoy a Dal Mondo feast but he is where my love of all things Italian started, teaching me the language, starting with all the naughty words of course. And of course my dad, and newest Nonno on the block. Our taste tester and biggest consumer, we have to cut him off some nights so theres enough food left for the customers Unlike th...e mums behind my restaurant these men have taught me absolutely nothing about cooking. Those of you who understand Italian culture know the old Italian men rarely cook! But what they have taught me is something even more important, the love of family. And for us Italians nothing brings a family together more than good food, and thats where my love of cooking began! These men are happiest sitting at the head of their table filled with family, sharing a meal and a nice glass of vino. So, today is for them especially, but for all the loving dads out there. May you enjoy a lovely meal with the ones you love most, even if that is via FaceTime on this very different Fathers Day See more
