22.01.2022 1st trail run of the year !! Thanks Nirvikar "The Mountain Goat" Yadav for choosing this gorgeous place to run. Such a top spot and only 35mins from city. It was a combination of flat bush track, rocks, hills and technical sections, which made it very enjoyable.... Such a beaut Summer day, I hope you get outdoors and enjoy !!!!



16.01.2022 The tale of two stories !! Nirvikar "I eat hills" Yadav and myself re-visited one of our favourite (well maybe not favourite, as there is such a love/hate relationship with this hill) training spots in the Blue Mountains. Training for an event in May, we have been stepping up our training and we knew hitting this hill was going to be tough, but also show us where our ability is at and of course make us fitter !! ... It is 8kms of fun going downhill, then the slog back up again. We have done this hill numerous times over a 10 year period and today there was a PB on the up hill time... woohoo !! As always the beauty of the Blue Mountains never ceases to surprise me. Check out the pics of the fog covering the valley.....

09.01.2022 20 metre Shuttle Run aka the Beep Test !! The beep test is one method of testing your cardio ability and when training regularly it helps to show the improvements you have made. Last Monday night, I got some of the outdoor crew to do the beep test. ... The surprise package this time was Asher (I want to be the next Usain Bolt) Rahimi. At only 12 years of age..... Asher finished at the super impressive level of 11.2 !! (If you aren't sure what this means, ask someone who has done the test or I am happy to organise for you). Well done to the crew for getting through the test and to now looking to improve on it next time.

06.01.2022 Get out of your Comfort Zone !! I believe it's important to regularly get yourself out of your comfort zone. This can be done in many ways, by either pushing harder or further with training, waking up earlier than usual, eating healthy food you avoid, putting in 100% effort and smashing out a work project or school assignment, facing a fear etc, or any of the hundreds of things which are keeping you comfortable. Doing this will have numerous benefits. The one which I fi...nd the most important is, it helps builds "resilience". It can also feel very rewarding. Today I took myself out of my comfort zone, by swimming and running in the rain and wind, by doing my longest swim and doing my fastest 7km run in many years. What have you done recently which takes you out of your comfort zone ???



03.01.2022 Beaut morning for a run and swim !! I have been very lucky to do so many events with so many top people and I have shared this honour with the crew in the picture below many times. The crew is Adelaine (abs of steel), Nirvikar (I have the stride of an Olympic runner) and Chris (I eat hills). We have done events together like, Tough Mulder's, Spartans, Wild Endurance, UltraTrail etc etc, so was very enjoyable to have a run and well earned swim together today. ... Hope you get outside (while still being sun safe) and enjoy this glorious summer weather !!
