11.01.2022 I had a play with some new carbon fibre yesterday. I laminated several pieces together on a piece of glass as a test piece. I took it off today and not only does it look great but is super strong. Carbon Fibre is the material I’m using in my saddle trees. It’s light weight, super strong and a lot nicer to use than fibre glass.

10.01.2022 A wade I recently finished for a mate in New Caledonia.

10.01.2022 I saw a post of John Arnold’s the other day. It was a video of him hand stitching. The caption was I wonder how many stitches these hands had done. It got me thinking, I wonder how many hand stitches I have done. So I did a rough calculation 90 per cantle 50 per knee pads or swells That’s 140x615 saddles= 86,100 plus the horns on about half, another 8000 =94,100then when you add the skirt pockets on some and the welted seats on others it ends up well over 100,000 stitches.

09.01.2022 For anyone looking for a good second hand cutting saddle, I have one coming in soon. It’s a 16 1/2 tree. In good condition for $3500. I’ll have some photos soon.

09.01.2022 The next cutting saddle is well under way.

09.01.2022 Heavy duty round yards made with heavy gal steel and conveyor belting. The panels are 3.1 m long, 1.6m high. There are three round yards with 8 panels in each including the panel with gate. I made them to house stallions. $3000 per round yard.

04.01.2022 The next one ready to post Monday. This ones a ranch cutter built on a Conaghan Cutter tree with an in layer seat.

04.01.2022 Things have been a bit quiet so my waiting list is quite short at the moment. I’m hoping to get a lot busier in the new year, after everyone settles down after Christmas and it has hopefully rained!! So if you are thinking of getting a new saddle now is a great time to order before the waiting list gets back up to 6-12 months.

03.01.2022 As fancy as the black dying is, its awful to use!!

02.01.2022 This saddle was sent a few weeks ago but was a surprise 21st birthday present. So only posting it here now.

02.01.2022 I finished this cutter late last night. It’s on my carbon fibre tree. Mark wanted the seat with more raise in it so I had added to the ground seat.

01.01.2022 It seems people have gone crazy buying toilet paper because they are worried about the supplies if the corona virus gets going. Buying toilet paper will not protect you. However buying a new saddle will!! Get in now while you still can. Order a new saddle. Make this go viral.
