24.01.2022 Have you received your DVD? It was great, I loved it. Congratulations guys on a fantastic final DC concert. I love how Casablanca have put some special effects in this year. It really is so cool. So if you have watched it, what was your favourite item in the concert this year. I am a little biased but I now, for the first time, understand the emotion of seeing your child perform on the stage. I had tears in my eyes as I watched Tienna dance onstage for her very first time a...nd even to see Kaiden stand infront of a full house and speak before you all. Such special moments, that I will treasure forever. Selling the studio, was the hardest decision I ever had to make and although a piece of my heart still wishes that DC was still going, the rest of my heart has such beautiful memories that I will treasure forever. Thank you for making Dance Creation your home away from home and mine. See more

20.01.2022 I just wanted to thank everyone for 20 years of wonderful memories, friends and good times. Dance Creation, my home away from home, has given me such great pleasure, I have loved every second and everyone who passed through its doors. 17.01.2022 Hi Everyone, its Miss Lauren here I hope you have been having a wonderful rest. As most of you are aware there are some pretty big and exciting changes happen this year and there are some big plans for this year. Here is some information our launch party and enrolment day. Our launch party is being held at the studio on the Saturday 18th January @ 5pm. The new name of the Studio will be announced as well as some other changes. I will be inviting everyone by a FB event and vi...a email. So please come and celebrate this exciting event and see the studios looking a little different ;-) We hope to see you all there!!!! Soon after the launch the Website and Facebook page will be up and running so that you can view the timetable, tuition fees and all the teachers. Some students may receive letters of offer for our 2014 performance teams via email after the 18th so keep a lookout for an email before enrolment day (dont forget to check your junk mail to just incase) Do not worry if you do not receive a letter we will be offering places in these teams up until week 3 of term 1. Enrolment Day is on Saturday the 25th of January from 10am till approximately 2 pm. You will receive an enrolment package with an information booklet, timetable and uniform list upon arrival. You will be able to enrol in classes, order uniforms view the studio and find out anything else you would like to know on this day (we will no longer be holding the uniform ordering day on the 12th as there was a delay with our sample uniforms over the Christmas& New year period) There will be a $25.00 per child or $45.00 per family fee due when you enrol your child or children. I hope you have a wonderful couple of weeks before term starts and i hope to see you all on the 18th of January at 5pm for the Launch. Miss Lauren xxx

16.01.2022 *** STEVEN BROWN*** Steven will be teaching some of our Junior Classes as well as Junior and Inter/Senior Musical Theatre. We are excited to have Steven and his expertise as part of the teaching faculty this year!! From Western Sydney, New South Wales, Steven started dancing at the age of 8. He competed in many Eisteddfods and Competitions over the years as a soloist and within troupe routines. Steven started off performing with Dance Tech and then expanded to Gold Star St...udios. Steven studied both Dance and Drama at High School from Year 9 to Year 12, participated in Cranebrook High Schools Rock Eisteddfod Challenge in 06 and 07 and was nominated for OnSTAGE - a presentation and exhibition of group and individual performances and projects by Higher School Certificate Drama students - for his Individual Performance Monologue in 09. After completing his Higher School Certificate at St Marys Senior High School he went on to achieve the Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Brent Street in 2010 Since completing his full-time course Steven has continued to take classes in singing, acting and dancing. Last year, Steven moved to South Brisbane, Queensland to pursue his love for teaching. He his now located back in Sydney. Steven has over the years worked on set with Angelina Jolie, Jessica Mauboy, Eric Thompson and many more. Most recently Steven has participated in Acting Courses at NIDA. See more

11.01.2022 Just wondering if any of my ex ballet students would be interested in coming to our senior open ballet class at Velocity Performing Arts. No pressure, no exams, no concert. Just a class for pure enjoyment and fitness. You can just pay casually as you come. You do not need to commit to coming every week. We have been having so much fun. Would love to see you all again.

04.01.2022 Hi everyone We have decided to make a completely knew FB page for Velocity Performing Arts so that all the memories and photos and comments stay under the Dance Creation Name instead of changing everything over. Miss Ilona will be posting some photos she has found for over the years and it is a great way for all the DC graduates to stay in touch. As the VPA page is completely new and it has to be set up with all the details it may not be up and running fully until tomorrow i will try to have it ready for you by morning :-) I will post a link here so you will be able to like the new page i will also post all the photos from the launch Thank you Miss Lauren

03.01.2022 ****OUR JAZZ & HIP HOP TEACHER FOR 2014 IS**** Jordan Grant!!! Jordan Grant has trained at the Glenda Yee School of Dance and studied Jazz, JFH, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical and Technique.... Jordan has worked with Marko Panzic and Squared Division. Jordan Has appeared on TV in the Big Brother Commercial, the So You Think You Can Dance TV commercial and has appeared as a featured dancer on the hit TV show Dance Academy. In 2012 Jordan was a grand final winner on Young Talent Time and in 2013 he was a finalist on Australias Got Talent with all male dance crew DAPPER. Jordan has also danced at many charity events and was pert of the Young Talent Time Tour. This Year Jordan Joins our Faculty as the Jazz and Hip Hop teacher.

02.01.2022 * Pre Junior is ages 5-6 * Junior ages 7-8 * Intermediate 9-12 * Senior 12 and up and in high school ... *Pre pointe if for students in grade 5 who are also learning intermediate foundation. Students must do this class before going on pointe. *Acrobatics 1 is the old junior Acro *Acrobatics 2 is recommended for student with basic to intermediate Acro skills *Acrobatics 3 if recommended for more advanced students. You are allowed to attend more than 1 Acro class if you wish *Tap exam and concert lasses are combined but are longer intermediate is 1 hr and Senior is 1hr 15 min Performance classes are by invitation only and students will receive emails next monday or tuesday.

01.01.2022 ***MATT DOUGLASS*** Matt will be teaching all our tap classes this year. He is just as excited as we are to have hip as part of the team. Matt began dancing in 1992 at the Helen Clark School of Dance. Matt then went on to complete his Certificate IV in Musical Theatre at the Australian Dance Performance Institute. At the Institute he studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Pas De Deux, Drama and Singing under Barbra Everson, Jaquie Deveraux, Helena Moore and Lisa Graham-Wils...on. Matt Worked With Raw Dance Company as a Principal dancer and choreographer from 2006 to 2008. In 2009 Matt Performed on the Carnival Cruise Lines U.S.A and in 2011 was a Singer in the Daddy Os Show, Universal Studios Singapore. More Recently Matt has appeared as a dancer on Big Brother-Friday Night Live, an Aeroguard TV Commercial and in the Grease Performance at the Dally M Awards on Fox Sports 1. Matt is represented by Jeep Management one of Sydneys most influential Talent and Entertainment Agencies. Matt is a fully qualified teacher if the Les Griffith Tap Syllabus and the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus. See more
