We have always said that Dans different ability is his value as an inclusion and life educator. During our interactive events in schools and the community, we have observed so much learning, so much joy and so much potential. The beautiful and unsurprising thing is that the prime beneficiary of these wonderful outcomes are the students and pe...ople who engage with our members, who like Dan, are educators. It is entirely logical and powerful that those who stand to benefit most from an inclusive community are the ones who are best placed to educate existing and future generations, not only about acceptance but importantly, equality of acceptance. 15.01.2022 Another wonderful community effort to deliver an inclusive and fun experience for all. Thank you to all who gave so much on the day. Teachers, students and parents from St Edmund's College and St Mary's College, including Denis for grounds set up. Special Olympics Athletes, families and coaches. Grace and Tom as student leaders. Harry on music. Scorers. Shaun for umpiring. Coffee and baking ladies from St Mary's, Face Painters. Huge shout out to our friends from Ipswich Nor...th Rotary for their sixth year of involvement with the sausage sizzle, DanDaLion members and parents and DanDaLion volunteers. We all learnt so much this year from a day that required adaptability, resilience and patience due to the conditions. In the end, we pushed through to celebrate! Come to think of it, isn't that life?

14.01.2022 This is a great example of representation in everyday products to support and be inclusive of People with Disabilities, or as we say at DanDaLion, People with Diffabilties! Happy International Day of People with Disabilities!

13.01.2022 We all have kindness within us. There have been some amazing examples of people in our communities activating their kindness to engage and help others in these difficult times, often without knowing the people that benefit from their actions. These acts, however simple, say 'we care, you belong, you are included in our community' - kindness delivering an inclusive community. I love that Ashleigh made the choice to be kind and inspiring to her community then took action to deliver in a simple way. When we make the choice to activate our kindness outwards, our communities become embracing and inclusive. #inclusiveminute #activateyourkindness #founderfriday

13.01.2022 To change the narrative of disability, we need to enrich the language that surrounds that narrative (hence diffability), creating awareness and deeper thought. Today we are proud to add #equalityofacceptance and its' meaning to the DanDaLion Dictionary of Words and Phrases. 13.01.2022 Seems like only yesterday, but really six and a half years ago, that Clare Bartholomew (nee Griffin) organised an amazing first ever DanDaLion event at the Yeronga Community Centre combining baking, senior citizens and diffability. Our senior participants, Regan and Dan loved it. Everyone left that day inspired to deliver many more inclusive events like this one. Huge shout out to Clare, Claire and Jacko who were there to set the tone and standard for what came after. It was such an exciting morning and my interaction with Betty is an indelible memory of that day. She was the icing on the cake! Hear why in #inclusiveminute

12.01.2022 Sometimes we are reminded of how we take things for granted. In DanDaLion's world, small things to us are big things to him. Wonderful to see him walking Millie with his brother Glen, bravely overcoming his anxiety to share this experience. Just wanted to extend our thoughts, support and strength to all those in our community who like Dan bravely face their own challenges each day. Shout out to family and support networks who are always there for them unconditionally.

10.01.2022 I'm sorry, but I can't get motivated to post anything specific today. As a parent of a young man with disability I am filled with sorrow and incapability of understanding over the devastating headlines of this week. When you are called to parent the gift and the challenge that is Dan, then you need to dig deep into your resources of unconditional love, and also unconditional responsibility. Today I shed a tear for those poor souls where that love and responsibility has fallen desperately short.

05.01.2022 Today we take an inclusive minute to reflect on the evolution of DanDaLion Friends brand, starting with the hand drawn logo that the talented Jack Perlinski from Dais Branding (here with wife Jodie and Dan) drew for us back in 2012. Of course, diffability has become the foundation of our philosophy, and all that follows, from the very first day. We are very proud of the DanDaLion brand, but more than that we love the connections and friendships we have made. We believe we are... an 'instrument of the community', committed to developing the diffability narrative and without the input, encouragement and acceptance of so many amazing people over the last 7-8 years it's simple. We wouldn't exist! So when we reflect today on the evolution of this brand we also celebrate, with Dan, where you have taken us and where you will lead us by your contribution and support in the future.
