24.01.2022 It's Market Day! The beautiful spring weather makes us dream of sizzling BBQs and salads in the sun. This week pick up 2 kilos of eye fillet steak for ONLY $50 from TC Quality Meats.... To cook the perfect eye fillet steak fire up the BBQ and get it nice and hot. Season steak with salt, pepper and olive oil. Cook for 3 minutes on each side (depending on your preference). Then, melt garlic-infused butter on steak and serve with fresh rosemary - are you drooling too? Yum! See more

21.01.2022 Be warned! When buying fresh garlic lavash from the Market (just $5 this week from Baker Boys), our tip is to put it in the car boot otherwise, like us, you won’t be able to resist tearing little chunks off to munch on as you head home. If there’s any left, you can warm it in the oven and use it as a naan bread substitute. You can use it as a pizza base or tear it up and serve it with dips or beside a cheese platter. Use it as a side to a meal or dip it in you favourite soup. Inspired? How do you serve your garlic lavash?

19.01.2022 To say that 2020 has been challenging for most would be an understatement. Some of us have suffered physically, some emotionally, financially, and even spiritually. And despite the need to remain physically distant, the community has never felt closer. Dandenong Market has supported the community through some of history's toughest moments. We remained open through both World Wars, The Great Depression and the Spanish Flu pandemic.... In 2020, Dandenong Market's traders kept their doors and hearts open to supply fresh, abundant produce, delicious takeaway food, and hidden treasures. No matter what this year threw at us, the community's support never wavered. This is why Dandenong Market's traders would like to thank those who continued to support small businesses when times got tough. Whether you shopped with our traders in-store, online or via one of our delivery services - we thank you. Here's to a very Merry Christmas and a safe and much anticipated New Year

17.01.2022 This year, at a time when the world is struggling with the global COVID-19 pandemic, the focus of 2020 World Science Day is on celebrating the role science has played to keep us safe. Compared to many other countries, Australia has done so remarkably well in this pandemic so far. Nationally, our Aussie approach was to go hard and go early led by the science and based on real-time data and good public health practice that will protect and save lives. #ScienceDay

14.01.2022 It's not actually a nut!?? While we call them nuts, pistachios are the seeds of a fruit that grows in bundles (like grapes). Once the fruit is wrinkled and soft, each pistachio is harvested and when fully ripened, its shell will split, exposing the nut inside. Of course, you can get your fill of pistachios from 7am tomorrow from one of our nut traders. ... #funfact See more

09.01.2022 Happy World Kindness Day! This year, more than any other in the Market’s history, we have seen our community respecting our differences rather than demonstrating intolerance, inclusion rather than exclusion, hospitality rather than hostility and gratitude rather than attitude. Kindness has been contagious. And heart-warming. From this pandemic we have seen many, many random acts of kindness. Today is the perfect day to reflect on these positives that have come from an extrao...rdinary year for our community and, indeed, the world. #bekind
