20.01.2022 To our club members and wider community, Due to the recent development and government advice regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are actively monitoring the situation and advice provided by the Department of Health and Chief Medical Officer. What does that mean for us? ... As of today, Sunday 15/03, this week’s training will continue to proceed as usual, as our weekly trainings do not fall under the government’s ban on ‘static gatherings of more than 500 people’. During training, please avoid contact such as shaking hands, high-fiving, hugging etc. If you are unwell or experiencing flu like symptoms, it is recommended that you seek medical attention, notify your coach as soon as possible and do not attend training. As a club, we support your decision to not attend training if you are not comfortable and want to take precautions. Please communicate with your coach as soon as possible. General Information As individuals, we all have a responsibility to help prevent the spread of this disease*. You should: - Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds - Practice good personal hygiene (i.e. Use tissues, coughing and sneezing into a sleeve etc) - Exercise social distancing measures and avoid unnecessary contact - Follow all other government advice *Aligned with advice provided by https://www.health.gov.au/heal/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov As we’ve already seen, the situation continues to evolve quickly, so we appreciate your patience as we may need to make changes to our approach at short notice. 17.01.2022 ***DVC COVID-19 Update 09/07/20*** To our club members and wider community, In light of the Victorian Government’s re-introduction of stage 3 restrictions, the club has been forced to suspend all plans to resume training until further notice. ... Unfortunately, these restrictions have also resulted in Volleyball Victoria announcing that the 2020 State League Season has been officially cancelled. 16.01.2022 Interested in playing with us next year? Hi everyone, We hope you’re all well! As restrictions continue to ease, you might have been wondering why you haven’t heard from us! The committee has been busily working in the background on our return to training plan and what the next year looks like for us.... In the meantime, DVC would like to invite everyone to an end of year social night this Thursday 10th December. Come down to have a hit and play some games bring your friends down as well! WHEN: Thursday 10th December TIME: 7-10pm LOCATION: Keysborough College, Banksia Campus We ask that everyone attending practices good personal hygiene and support the processes the club has in place to ensure a COVID safe environment. 12.01.2022 What a day it was at our inaugural Labour Day Saturday Volleyball Tournament this past weekend! We had some fantastic volleyball action from both the men's and women's divisions delivering some exciting games. We'd like to thank all teams, spectators, helpers and organisers for making it all come together. Congratulations to Breakers for taking out the men’s division, defeating Melbourne Uso 2-1. And to our very own DVC Blue, taking 1st place in the women’s division, defeatin...g Pink Ladies 2-0. We’d love to hear any feedback you have for us regarding the tournament! This suspension will stay in place until further notice.... We are taking a cautious approach that is consistent with the latest medical advice and government requirements.
