21.01.2022 Hi everyone & welcome to my brand new facebook page. I have finally been persuaded to get on board with a social media presence. I haven't been sure about the merits of "Socials" and in the past I have been very time poor, however, as our kids are a bit older now, I'm hoping to be able to contribute with some positive & valuable content. Jac and I will be working on building the page as we go but for now, we really just wanted to get started. Hope to see you soon, Dan

07.01.2022 Five Facts Friday - Self Care Taking care of yourself seems to be the theme of the week! And now is an awesome time to catch your breath before the end of year madness starts. Here's 5 tips to get you started. 1. Eat right! Choosing the right foods can not only help your physical wellness but your mental health as well. Try to choose foods that look like where they've come from and "eat a rainbow". Lean protein, berries, nuts, leafy greens are all good choices. And whilst yo...u're tucking into your stir-fry be sure to switch off the TV and put your phone down. It'll help your body and your mind relax and aid digestion. 2. Take care of your gut. Gut health can have a significant impact on your health, well being and vitality. Be sure to eat a balance of good foods and take a high quality pro-biotic if needed. 3. Get some exercise. Regular exercise can boost your mood, reduce anxiety and stress and it also can help you to have a better quality nights sleep. 4. Speaking of sleep - don't underestimate the value of a good 8 hours or schedule in a Sunday afternoon nap. 5. Speaking of scheduling things - be sure to schedule yourself some time out. It doesn't have to be a weekend away although why not right? It might be a drive in the countryside, a walk on the beach or time spent reading a good book. The goal is to change up your every day routine and do something that's just for you to rest & relax. Have an awesome weekend, Dan

06.01.2022 Happy Friday I hope youve all had a great week. I am off to a seminar this afternoon on one of my favorite topics, pre-natal care for healthy Mums and bubs. In the mean time here are Five Fun Facts for Friday. ... An apple a day does keep the doctor away. Apples can helps to reduce levels of bad cholesterol and keep your heart healthy. The amino acid found in eggs can help improve your reflexes. Hydration is key for a good complexion. Drinking enough water also makes you less prone to wrinkles. You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching television. Drinking coffee can reduce the risk of depression, especially in women. Have a great weekend. Dan.

02.01.2022 They say that necessity is the mother of invention and that was sure the case for us in clinic today. We had * In clinic appointments * A car park drive through consultation (would you like fries with that order?)lol * FaceTime appointments * Phone consults... * Emails, texts, facebook messages & WhatsApp queries * Products being posted * AND a home delivery at the end of the day A little different to our normal work day but we are getting creative & loving it. We love taking care you, thanks for being our people See more

02.01.2022 Friday Facts - on sleep! How many of you are getting enough sleep? It's one of the first questions I ask people who come in to the clinic. 7/10 adults just aren't getting enough! * Sleeping less than 6 hours per night weakens your immune system and can double your risk of becoming sick. * If you lose one hour of sleep per night for two weeks you will operate like you have been awake for 48 hours and think you are functioning normally. (yes there are people out there like thi...s, driving cars and trucks). * Sleep disruption can contribute to conditions like depression and anxiety. In fact, enough sleep is in the top 5 things listed for the prevention of mental illness. * You eat more when you are tired so a lack of sleep may contribute to weight gain. Therefore dieting without getting enough sleep is futile. * The ideal room temperature for the best quality sleep is 19 degrees (C) so pack away your bed socks and crank up the fan! If you are interested in learning more about creating a productive sleep routine then please let me know. Sleep well
