This year I got to meet so many amazing people and help them to change both their bodies and minds. 20.01.2022 I’ve been seeing a lot of negativity around training and eating recently so I’d like to share some perspective. . It may serve you to realise that everything we do is a choice. . We all share in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and there sure are some things that we HAVE to do. ... . You don’t HAVE to go to work, you choose to so you can earn an income and keep your job. You prefer the latter. . You don’t HAVE to exercise, you choose to because it makes you feel better. You prefer the latter. . With every choice comes an opportunity cost, but that cost should not be viewed as a sacrifice, but as a preference. . The fact that you can’t eat cake every day is not some existential punishment, it’s a choice that you make because you prefer to be more healthy and therefore more happy. . If the ‘sacrifice’ is worth it, then it shouldn’t feel like one. . Personally, Due to the closing of all commercial gyms; I have made my new place of business in the form of a garage gym. ... Training will continue! It has been proven through numerous studies that cardiovascular fitness sees a reduction within 2 weeks of being sedentary; while strength loss begins around 3-4 weeks. With these figures mentioned I’d like to stress the importance of training consistently. Personal Training is available! As a special Shut Down Deal, I will be selling $30 half hour sessions!! 13.01.2022 Do you stretch your hamstrings constantly to no effect? Tight lower back with semi-regular pain during movement? Struggle to find glute activation during a squat? ... Have you considered anterior pelvic tilt? Some research suggests that as many as 85% of men and 75% of women who show now symptoms, may have anterior pelvic tilt. Luckily this can be improved fairly easily through a combination of stretching and strengthening. Ensure you are certain about your pelvic tilt before adapting your training around it, so as to not be working in the wrong direction and causing ignorant harm. While there are still weak points and I will never be a competing athlete, years later I am strong and capable; I can squat, jump and sprint.
