25.01.2022 We were just thinking...wouldn't it be great to have something delicious to nibble on whilst taking in the talent of our performers at our very special "Creative Arts Competition" this Saturday night... Look no further! Plan K Kitchen are all over it and they have created a super special function menu for our event. In addition to this they have extended their opening hours on Saturday afternoon so if you wanted to book a table and have a family meal before the event starts, that is also possible! Please keep an eye on those emails over the coming 24 hours/ weekend- we are rolling out our Term 2 plan and will be touching base with each family individually to make sure this Term is one of our most unique, special and memorable ones to date (memorable for reasons other than the obvious...) Below is just a little resource from your resident Musical Theatre Super Fan! Mr. Andrew Llyod Webber, one of ...the most influential, notable theatre composers of all time has created a youtube channel called " The Show Must Go On" (link below) where he is uploading a new show every week for people to view for free online for 48 hours after it has been released! For anyone who is interested (student or parent) this week's show is the classic, Phantom of The Opera at the Royal Albert Hall (2011) starring some of the biggest names in theatre!!! 10.01.2022 THE COUNTDOWN IS WELL AND TRULY ON EVERYONE! The DanSing Creative Arts Competition is this Saturday evening the 12th of September at 6:00pm and it is time to meet our final judge for the evening..... Give it up for Ms. Hannah O' Donovan! Hannah was born in Northern Queensland Australia. She started dancing from the age of 7 in Ballet, Ballroom and Latin styles. Her passion has always been Latin American and she made the decision to specialise in Latin at the age of 16.... Since then Hannahs professional dance career has taken her all over the globe and she has trained with some of the worlds most renowned coaches. Hannah has been state champion in every state in Australia-5 times West Australian State Champion, National Champion and 3 times Australian Open Latin Champion, Hannah has competed and represented Australia in some of the worlds most prestigious events, such as World DanceSport Championships in Germany, Blackpool Dance Festival in England, Asian Tour and many more. Hannah has most recently spent the past 2 years touring with Burn The Floor Dance Company, performing across the Caribbean and Mediterranean on Norwegian Cruise Line, as well as being cast in the infamous musical Rock of Ages Off the dance floor Hannah is also a qualified personal trainer and has a passion for health and fitness. Hannah is beyond excited to see what our students can do and is ready to dance the night away at DanSing on Saturday- please check your emails this evening/early tomorrow for an important notice with all the final details for our event this weekend! 07.01.2022 Happy Monday DanSing Friends and Families! It is with great pleasure and much excitement that we can today announce our first guest panelist and judge for the very first DanSing Creative Arts Competition!!! Introducing Alex Woodward!!!... Alex Woodward has been performing across Australian stages for over a decade. Most recently this has been as Elder White in the Australian and New Zealand tour of The Book of Mormon while also understudying the lead role of Elder Price. His credits include Spring Awakening (Sydney Theatre Company), Pirates of Penzance (Empire Theatre), Grease the Arena Experience (Harvest Rain), [title of show] (Understudy Productions), Dogfight (Doorstep Arts), Carrie the Musical (Wax Lyrical), and The Little Mermaid Tale (Pen2Stage). Alex graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Music Theatre) in 2015. In 2010 Alex took a break from music theatre to play in pop band Streamer Bendy, which achieved great Australian and international radio play and acclaim. He also founded the independent musical theatre company Understudy Productions which produced the sold-out and Matilda Award-nominated Boys of Sondheim, as well as the recent hit season of Sweet Charity at Brisbane Powerhouse. Alex is beyond excited to see what our students have come up with and so are we! Don't forget that the competition will be held in the Kennedy Terrace studio on the 12th of September kicking off at 6:00pm. $5.00 entry for adults and a gold coin donation for children :) Stay tuned for more information over the coming week and mark the date in your calendar for what is sure to be an outstanding night!

We have had such positive feedback coming in and all of our dancers seem to be rising to the challenge of home learning like absolute stars. Please welcome Emily Dickson!!!! Emily Dickson is a television presenter, MC, actress and voice-over artist. Having worked at Network Ten for the past 5 years, her television presenting credits include Totally Wild (2018 - 2020), Crocamole (2016 2018), Creative Generation State Schools of Stage (...2017 - 2018) and guest presenting on Studio 10 and Toasted TV. As well as this, she has also been involved in several commercials and short films including Mahindra TVC (2019), The Decision Short Film (2017), Vaya TVC (2014) and Aerogard TVC (2010). Emily has a passion for all aspects of her entertainment, and frequently acts as master of ceremonies at corporate events. Her recent experience includes Surf Life Saving Queenslands Surf Girl Awards Dinner (2019 2020), Brisbane Lions AFLW Game Day Host (2019 - 2020), Holden Masterchef Pop Up Experience (2018), Mercedes-Benz Fashion Luncheon (2017), Whats On 4 Kids Awards Night (2018), QUT Classic Fun Run (2017), Creative Generation State Schools on Stage (2017 & 2018), Sirromet Winery Melbourne Cup Luncheon (2018) and the Westfield Santas Arrival Parade (2016 & 2018). Emily has also expanded her skill set to include radio and voice over work, working with B105 as a host on a weekend development show Totally Brisbane with Jase & Em (2018-2020). Emily is a vivacious performer with a strong passion for all aspects of the performing arts. She loves working with, encouraging and mentoring the next generation of performing artists and is honoured to be part of the very first DanSing Creative Arts Competition!
