23.01.2022 Great day on Saturday at Hamilton North Bowlo with the official opening of the 59th Mattara Bowls Carnival. Newcastle Lord Mayor Cr Nuatali Nelmes headed up proceedings. Highlight was the handing over of a bouquet of flowers by four-year-old William Casey to Nuatali.



21.01.2022 Z F League 01 One 1st Grade grand final at Cooks Square Park East Maitland. Cookers won 6-5 on penalties after a 1-all scoreline at end of full time and an additional 20minutes. Reserve Grade won 2-0 to make it five consecutive Grand Final wins.

07.01.2022 R.I.P. Ballina RSL Bowling Club - Canal Road, Ballina. On Sunday June 9, 2019 the very LAST game of lawn bowls will be played at Ballina RSL Bowling Club after Ballina RSL Club Limited made the decision to close the site. The Ballina RSL Sandflies, a group of very social yet accomplished bowlers, will host, for the final time at the RSL Bowling Club site, the visiting Burleigh (Heads) Camels at their weekly Sunday morning social bowls.
