Please contact me on [email protected] for more information If your child wants fun, friends, excitement and adventure - Scouts has all that! Parents value honesty, respect, trustworthiness, responsibility and confidence in their children. We help Scouts develop these traits while taking part in safe indoor/outdoor activities. We are the best at delivering fun diverse programs that develop skills for life! Scouting offers adults a host of rewarding opportunities to help make a difference in young people’s lives. You’re never too old to join the adventurous life of Scouting, even if you haven’t been involved before. The personal satisfaction of helping young people to achieve their goals is immense, and your sense of personal achievement when you help them through a hurdle is nearly as strong as theirs! If you’re an energetic person who thrives in a positive, supportive atmosphere and enjoys helping young people be the best they can, then consider volunteering! Please contact me on [email protected] for more information

08.01.2022 At the end of the year, one of our Cub leaders and one of our Joey Leaders are leaving. We are in desperate need of people to fill these positions. This could be a parent, grandparent, friend, teacher, Uni student anyone over the 18! If you, or anyone you know are interested in becoming a leader please contact me or the section leader for more information You can even try it by coming camping with us at Mt Keira for duty camp 2nd - 4th December.... The rewards of becoming a leader include Personal Satisfaction: The reward of seeing young people "get" something Sense of Achievement: From helping young people to develop positive attitudes and learn new skills Adventurous Activities: Where else can you take part in abseiling, rock climbing, scuba diving, caving, parascending and sailing in the company of experts for very small investment. Qualifications: We offer Certificate 2, 3,4 and Diploma level qualifications in a variety of fields. Travel: Travel interstate or overseas for Moots, Ventures and Jamborees plus a world of Scouts out there to welcome you to their area Fun: Share the fun and excitement of Scouting with other adults and young people Opportunities for Parents: For parents who are leaders, share and enjoy activities with their children Leadership provides an opportunity to make a personal contribution to the future and our community. Leaders need to allocate one night a week for group meetings during the school term. You will also need to attend some group activities eg hikes or camps for Cubs on a few weekends a year. There is also a term meeting for leaders. Leaders are given training and support from Scouts Australia and you achieve nationally recognised training for both business and outdoor recreation eg Certificate 3 in Business or cert 4 in Leadership and Management. All training is at no cost to you. Please consider joining our team and join in the fun Yours in Scouting Debbie Surridge [email protected]
