24.01.2022 Making a return to Django at Camelot tonight, Moulin Roque is a sophisticated cabaret rock show featuring Susannah Mirana. It draws upon years of this versatile... artist’s experience and ‘genre-hopping’ to deliver a multi-faceted performance via an eclectic mix of alternative rock, new wave and dark wave music. Accompanied by a stellar band including Clare O’Meara (John Williamson), Jess Ciampa (Jeff Duff), Paul Najar (Wa Wa Nee) and Eddy Santacreu, she delves into the catalogues of artists as diverse as k.d. lang, Elvis Costello, and Nirvana. Each song gets its own treatment; from high energy, rock pieces to stripped-down instrumentations revealing lustful lyrical content with undertones of jealousy and seduction. Susannah’s performance stretches from darkly dramatic to quirky, producing moments of intensity and frivolity. Moulin Roque is a truly unique musical experience not to be missed.
