20.01.2022 Not bred by me: These twin does were found after their mum had passed away in an unattended herd. They were only a few hours old, cold and limp. Warmed up and full bellies for a couple of days before being brought to me (person who found them works away from home so was unable to continue caring for them) they are now thriving with indoor privileges

18.01.2022 A new paddock for the big girls today

18.01.2022 Really must remember to keep my phone on me whilst out in the paddock. Was just doing the water run when I had to rescue one of the alpacas who was stuck across the back of a very confused doe doing burn outs around the paddock trying to dislodge said alpaca. When Sage saw me she ran straight up bleating "Get this thing off me!!" Once I stopped laughing I was able to free them both of their unwanted hitchhiker. It was a sight to see

16.01.2022 The giraffe-sheeps turn for a little pampering today. Thanks to Oliver Smith- Mobile Alpaca Shearing, Charles and Argentum will be nice and cool through summer

15.01.2022 Looking for something to do this October long weekend? Why not head to the beautiful Barossa Valley and enjoy some delicious South American inspired goat dishes washed down with a glass of local Grenache while the kids enjoy fun games on the lush lawns of Hayes Family Wines for the first annual Goatober event. #goatober #goatandgrenache #barossavalley #funforallages #givegoatago

14.01.2022 Things I wish I could explain to my goats...... Absolutely no part of my body contains anything of nutritional value for you. Not even my hair. Shocking, I know. If you poop in your water trough, congratulations, there is now poop in your water trough.... Please just keep track of how many babies you plop out, and love them all equally. In order to give you the grain, I must be allowed to access the feeder. Trip me and maybe I'll no longer feel like giving you the grain. Please kid within normal business hours. No ninja birthing in the bush in the middle of the night. No amount of screaming will make me pour grain out faster. The weeds on the other side of the fence are identical to the weeds conveniently located IN YOUR OWN PEN! Just because you CAN on everything doesn't mean you SHOULD That giant dog who will give their life to protect you and your babies? Could you please refrain from headbutting her while she is minding her own business? Just a few thoughts
