25.01.2022 In case you don't know, I am the official photographer for the Hornsby Chamber of Commerce, have been for quite a few years. We are holding an business event, on the 1st September, at the Mercedes showroom at Waitara. At this event we will have MP Phillip Ruddock, MP Paul Fletcher, MP Matt Kean and Hornsby Mayor Steve Russell. The Chamber will have a panel of business owners in Hornsby asking the MP's questions about what is on the minds of the business owners in Hornsby. It should be an interesting evening. Let me know if anyone is interested in coming along, there will be food and drinks, music, provided. The Chamber asked me to present Mercedes with a photo, as a gift. Below is what I am going to give them, I think it captures their showroom perfectly.

24.01.2022 Since I have been a photographer I have been to weddings, large, and, small. I have done Affirmation ceremonies, Commitment ceremonies. On Sunday, at Hornsby's little gem, Lisgar Gardens, I was at an Nikah ceremony. What is a Nikah ceremony? It's a religious rite, in Islamic Law. It validates the marriage. It was a lovely day for, Jamilla and Atif. They were joined by close family, and, friends. A new experience for their photographer, and, as usual, I did a great job for them.

24.01.2022 Was at a theatre, up in Gosford, on Sunday covering an event that I have never seen before, "An afternoon at the proms". With violinist, Ian Cooper and The Blue Danube Orchestra. Voted 'Best Production Show' in Australia, this stunning spectacular with a cast of 50, salutes the famous BBC Proms Concerts of Londons Royal Albert Hall performing all the well-known favourites including Rule Britannia, Radetzky March, etc. With selections from The Sound of Music, The Merry Widow, Carmen and The Waltz King - Johann Strauss, plus Can-Can and Tango dancers. It was definitely a new experience for Darren Hart Photography.

23.01.2022 Wishing everyone a great Xmas, and, new year. I just hope that tomorrow the smiles on your faces will be just as big as when you all were in front of my camera. Merry Xmas and have a wonderful Xmas day.

20.01.2022 They say, "variety is the spice of life". Well I agree! Saturday night I was at ARQ nightclub, in Sydney. DJ Ruby, from Rubydance, put on another awesome night. He didn't start to play until 11pm, up till then, the room was lit by fairly ordinary lighting. He dropped a track, and, with in a few beats 8 heads of lasers came on. The crowd went wild. What a great night, fantastic photos, awesome music.

20.01.2022 Saturday 29th September, I was at a lovely, small, wedding at the Mooney Mooney Chapel. Ben and Pip were the perfect couple, all smiles and laughs, all day. Mandy Taylor from Taylored Ceremonies, did a wonderful job as their celebrant. As you can see from my photos, wonderful day, ideal couple. What else could a photographer ask for?

19.01.2022 Friday the 13th, is normally associated with doom and gloom. Not for Alex and Lauren, they had their ceremony at Hardy's Bay Club, at Hardy's Bay. The day was lovely, the bush setting was ideal. Bell birds were in the trees above us, it was truly, a magical setting. Mandy Taylor from Taylored Ceremonies did a great job, and, put a smile on everyones face with the service that she gave. Pretty Beach, was the other location we went to for photos.... Both Alex and Lauren, were the perfect couple, at a great location, on a wonderful day. See more

18.01.2022 Here is another reason why I love being a photographer. Saturday 20/7, I was on board the MV Constellation, on Sydney Harbour. I have been working with DJ Ruby for many years, as his photographer. As well as taking photos of the night, what I have been doing is printing out photos, placing them into a presentation folder, and bring them back to the people, a few minutes later. They are surprised, and I tell them that they can thank DJ Ruby, for the photo. They love it! I re...ceived a txt message, from DJ Ruby, on Tuesday. The message mentioned about a man that was in a photo that I gave out, his partner has brain cancer, and, he is the carer. His friends told him to come out for the night and just forget about everything and have a good time. He had a wonderful time, and he specifically mentioned the fact that he got a photo to take away. He was very moved by the whole experience. DJ Ruby added this to his message. I sometimes forget the impact of what we do, so feedback like that is very grounding. Our events are made special by the skills and dedication of each member of the team. You are a key member of our team and your contribution made someone's evening and is probably something he will never forget. A big thank you to you. That made me feel great.

18.01.2022 Sunday 16th June, I was asked to photograph a very prestigious event for the Hornsby RSL Sub-Branch. It was their 100 year centenary. The guest list had Brigadier Generals, Politicians, and, Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith, he has been awarded the Victoria Cross medal. In 2006, he was with the Special Operations task group, in Afghanistan, and was given the Medal of Gallantry, for his courageous efforts. Sitting at a table was, Patricia Amphlett, also known as Little Pattie. She w...as just 17 when she performed for the Vietnam troops. Sitting with her, was 4 other ladies, that also performed for the troops. Another highlight of the night was The Hornsby RSL Pipe band, all heads turned when they marched into the room. Up on stage they had The Ozy Youth Choir, singing songs from the war eras, everyone enjoyed their performance. Really enjoyed walking around, as the photographer, at this event. See more

17.01.2022 If you are thinking of getting married, and want the ideal church and venue, look no further. Kantara House, and, their Charlotte Chapel, at Green Point. Did a lovely wedding there on Saturday 24th Sept. Sarah and Adam were the perfect couple, happy and stress free, all day. Just look at the photos, fairy tale chapel, lovely couple, and a wonderful day. What more could you ask for? This is why I love being a photographer, to capture weddings like this one.

17.01.2022 I know I have mentioned this previously, and, I will say it again, I love being a photographer in Sydney! On Sunday 21st May, I did a lovely wedding at The Rocks. Lisa and Brian chose the perfect location, and, the Sydney weather was wonderful. The day went off without any problems, Lisa was calm, and, looked amazing. It's a nice thought that in, years to come, my photos will be looked back on, and, people will still be amazed by my work.

16.01.2022 I have been with The Hornsby Chamber of Commerce since 1998, as their photographer, and, have been on the committee since early 2000. Last night, 13th September, the Chamber celebrated their 100th anniversary. Held at Asquith Golf Club, over 50 members attended. I was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation, for longest serving member of the Chamber of Commerce committee. The award was presented to me by The Mayor of Hornsby, Philip Ruddock. 16.01.2022 If you know anyone that just loves their home, proud of the home that they live in? I have a great gift idea that they would want. I can come over and take some photos, just on sunset. The home owner picks the one they like, and, a few days later, I will bring back their photo, enlarged to 8"x12" and mounted in a matted frame. All for $100.00. I can also offer a gift certificate for this.

15.01.2022 A funny thing happened to me, while covering a wedding, a little while ago. It was at a venue right on the water at Balmoral Beach. Many of the guests, as well as the bride and groom, were visually impaired. Some were totally blind. I arranged all the guests for a group photo, with the bridal party at the front, immediate family just behind the bridal party, and all the guests behind. I do this type of photo whenever I can get an area where I can get up higher. OK, guests a...nd bridal party are all below me and in front, as I always do, I get their attention and ask, "Can everyone see me?" A little voice comes from the crowd, "No - not really!" With that I said, " OH, OK, follow my voice, ALL WAVE AT ME." The photo came out great. See more

14.01.2022 Saturday, 21st July, I was at Matthew and Josephine's wedding. Their wedding was at the Nurses War Memorial Chapel, Little Bay. The outlook of this church was fantastic. After the ceremony, we went down to Bare Island at La Perouse. As you can see from my photos, the day was perfect, location, amazing, and, Matthew and Jo, were the ideal couple. The whole day went off without a problem. It was truly, the perfect wedding.

12.01.2022 On Sunday, 6/10, I was asked to come along to an event by Thomas Knight, DJ and Promoter, with, Rodd Richards put on an event called FANTASIA - Rise of the Phoenix. The Fantasia events started back in 2002, in a small venue at Pagewood ( I was there). Walking through the crowd was like a trip down memory lane, so many old, familiar, faces. A DJ, Dave PSI, was up on stage, with an microphone, he introduced me to the crowd saying to everyone, "We have, here, Darren Hart, wh...o remembers this man?" With that a huge cheer came from the crowd, we then arranged a great crowd photo. Also appearing, on stage, was Dyewitness, Ultrasonic, and, Public Domain, and, MC Cyclone. Girls dancing with multi coloured hula hoops, even an appearance from Astro Boy. An awesome night, great music, and, great crowd. 11.01.2022 I can't remember the last time I did a wedding with 100 guests, or more. Yesterday, I was down at a lovely little area on the Lane Cove River, at Tesh and Seid's wedding. Only about 20 of their close friends and family were there. A glorious day, a wonderful couple, and, a lovely intimate wedding. I actually felt like I was one of the family. As you can see from my photos, everyone was happy, and, relaxed. Probably because they had a great photographer there. The reception was, just down the road, at a fantastic venue, right on the river, Whitefire. Great food, and, they made us feel very welcome.

10.01.2022 They say that variety is the spice of life, well, I agree. Last couple of weekends I was at weddings with perfect locations. On Saturday night I was at a club, in the city, and they had a trance night on with the lovely Emma Hewitt performing, live, on stage. After she finished, the room was filled with lasers. When they came on, everyone was amazed. The night was awesome, the crowd, music, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Another reason why I just love being a photographer.

10.01.2022 You have all heard the old saying, Location, location,location. This applies to the wedding I was at on Friday 24th May. Nurragingy Reserve at Doonside. A lovely couple, Deserea and Daniel, celebrated their wedding surrounded by friends and family. Deserae had a wonderful smile on her face, all day, she was not stressed, all up a wonderful wedding, great location and the perfect couple.... A day like this, is what makes being a photographer a great job. See more

08.01.2022 On Saturday, 5th May 2018, I was at Nurragingy Reserve, Doonside, photographing a lovely wedding for Rianne and Gokhan. The day was absolutely glorious, the bride was cool, calm, and, collected. Nurragingy Reserve is a photographers dream come true, with so many lovely locations to choose from, as you can see from my photos. What made this wedding, unique, the groom, some of the wedding party, and, many of the guests were Turkish. When it was time for the bride and groom to enter the reception they were escorted by two drummers. Wow! All the guests definitely knew they were at a Turkish wedding. This was a wedding that we will all remember for a long time.

07.01.2022 Saturday 2nd April I was at a wedding at Umina, Just had to post these photos. What a perfect wedding car, 57 Chevy. The couple wanted to go down to the beach for photos with the car, they asked if I was happy to come in the car with them, or, would I prefer to take my car. Well, the photographer took the front seat. What an experience! Did some great photos of the couple and the car. I'm fairly certain that they will cherish these photos for many years to come.

07.01.2022 The thing I enjoy about being a photographer is the various locations that I work at. On Easter Saturday I was at a lovely wedding, with great weather, a very relaxed and casual vibe, and, a beautiful country outlook. Castlereagh Hall at Castlereagh, only 60Km from home and 1000 Kms from worries and stress. Jen and Darren were the perfect couple, on a perfect day!

06.01.2022 Monday, 21/10/19, I was at the Matt Kean MP event held at Magpies Waitara. It was a combined event held by Matt Kean and Hornsby Chamber of Commerce. Over 100 people attended. I was taking photos, for the Chamber web site. I spoke with Matt Kean, and, to my surprise, he said that he mentioned me in parliament. I looked at him, and, asked him why. He was talking about Hornsby Chamber of Commerce, giving a bit of history about it. Click on the video, below, have a listen, wait till near the end to see what he says about me. So cool! 04.01.2022 On Monday night, 16/11 at Shores Restaurant, in Hornsby, The Hornsby Chamber of Commerce had our AGM. At this AGM a presentation was made, to me, I was made a life member of the Chamber. Didn't see that coming.

04.01.2022 Yesterday, I met Renee, she was the bride from a wedding I did back on October 24th, last year. See below, some of their photos. They ordered an album, and, with Xmas and NYE, yesterday was the 1st chance I had to give them their wedding photo package. I checked my email today, and, Renee sent me this: Darren ... I have only one word for our wedding photos and that is WOW!!!!! Thank you so much from the bottoms of our hearts thank you!!!! Every picture has captured us and the moment wonderfully. We couldn't be happier, we both sat on the couch watching the DVD blubbering our eyes out.. Such an emotional journey remembering such a very special day!! 02.01.2022 Did another nice, small intimate, wedding on Sunday 23/10. At an majestic old world hotel at Katoomba, The Carrington. It was a glorious day, during the wedding the temperature was 10 degrees, with the picturesque Blue Mountains in the background. Both Renee and Simon, were the perfect couple, no stress, and, with plenty of smiles all day. Having the opportunity to be at weddings in venues, like The Carrington, makes me happy to be a photographer.

01.01.2022 At another really nice wedding, Saturday 30/4. It was held at Lauriston House, Dundas. I was treated just like one of the guests. Have a look at the awesome group photo that I did out the front of the place, just amazing. Of course, Sarah and Glenn were the perfect couple. Stress free, and, they both had a wonderful night.

01.01.2022 Last week I mentioned, in my post, that I like the variation in my work locations. Well, on Saturday, I was at another great location. I don't need to tell you where, my photos will do that for you. Adam and Patricia, chose this fantastic area for their wedding. What more could a photographer want, great location, a wonderful day, and, a lovely couple. A perfect couple, and, a perfect wedding.

01.01.2022 Did a wonderful wedding, yesterday, on my birthday, at Bobbin Head and aboard a boat around the Hawkesbury River. The bride was cool, calm and lovely all day. Did some great photos. It was the most relaxed wedding that I have been to in many years.
