25.01.2022 Vale Pat Quinn We are greatly saddened to learn today of the passing of Pat Quinn from MND, aged just 37 years. Pat faced his MND with such bravery and positivity , and was a co founder of the Ice Bucket Challenge. This incredible social media challenge swept the world, raising over $300 million to fund research and care services. 25.01.2022 A community service announcement - check your long life milk!!! We don't normally do this but want to inform our supporters of this issue. We have become aware today that long life milk is not always long life. It can become "blown" and possibly explode due to a reaction within the packaging. Checkout this packet we discovered this morning. ... We have informed Devondale of the details and generously been offered a $5 voucher. We will also return it to place of purchase. 19.01.2022 It only takes a little but it all adds up to a lot! Thanks to customers of Coastal Life Surf Busselton for another $ 62.85 in spare change... It is amazing how loose change can add up to so much and be put to such good use helping to fund care and support services for MND warriors in our state...... Our tally so far of $76,121.89 has been really kicked along by donations to our change tins in the Busselton region and in Perth. Thank you to all for supporting and creating awareness by having collections tins on site and to all those generous souls who have dropped a few coins (and some lovely notes!) into them!!! 04.01.2022 How can we fix this? How can this cruel and ridiculous situation be permitted to happen? We had our own nightmares with the NDIS, but the cruelty of what is happening to Prof Justin Yerbury and his family is unbelievable. It is all about money not care. An industry of "service providers" now exists, making a profit from administering funds and "providing care". This needs to stop! Justin is battling MND himself, having lost numerous close family members to the disease. He i...s driving research to find a cure. The treatment being handed to him is wrong on all levels!
