10.01.2022 Good Evening Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel all our domestic moves for the near future. We deeply apologise to all our clients whom we have had to postpone moves for, or refuse to take bookings for, but it was the only thing we could do.... The government was sending out mixed messages 1 - You should only work if you can keep 2 metres away from other people - we failed this from the moment the crew get in the truck and in nearly every other aspect of our work 2 - Its ok to do removals - how? We have a duty as an employer to ensure the safety of our employees, our customers and the general public. We considered alternative ways of working but on balance , we couldn’t think of a way that didn’t endanger multiple people So, we made a decision that the government was afraid to make and we shut ourselves down. We cancelled / postponed 28k of work and turned away even more. There are still solicitors and estate agents pushing people to move - including the elderly The only work we are currently undertaking at the moment, is emergency work for the NHS and local authority.
