24.01.2022 PALMERSTON CROCODILE SIGHTING Council has received a report of a crocodile sighting at Lake 8 Durack. Warning signs will be erected and the Crocodile Manag...ement Team have been advised and will inspect the site. We remind the community to always be vigilant around our waterways. Sighting of crocodiles in the Palmerston area can be reported directly to the Crocodile Management Team on 8983 2475.

13.01.2022 Keep the kids busy these school holidays while also giving their water confidence and swimming skills a bit of a boost at the same time with our friends Swim Dynamics Develop and practise new skills with a 30 minute group or private lesson. Lessons will be held Monday 28th Sep - Friday 9th Oct (3 classes per week Mon, Wed & Fri) at Nightcliff Pool between 8.30am & 12.30pm (exact time dependent on level). ... 08.01.2022 Calling all LITTLE artists time to get creative these school holidays! It is time to show off those talents and enter the Children's Artwork Exhibition as part of Celebrating National Children's Week! ... National Children's Week is an annual event celebrated in Australia held around the fourth Wednesday in October. A diverse range of events and activities are organised in Darwin. City of Darwin is proud to host events and activities for our local children showcasing their abilities and talents. The Artwork Exhibitions will be displayed in the four City of Darwin Libraries between Saturday 24 October to Sunday 29 November 2020. All artwork from individuals or groups are welcome from drawing, painting, printing, collage, sculpture, ceramic, photography and digital art! The possibilities are endless! This exhibition is a great opportunity for children to display their unique creative expression to the community. Art in all kinds of mediums encourage children to create, self-express, develop imagination, build self-esteem and confidence. The benefits are many and varied, as children delight in the satisfaction of newly created artwork.
