25.01.2022 David Lilliebridge our Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner is also open, business as usual. Below is the link we received from his professional association describing what is happening in more detail. This was released on the 23rd of March and is still current at time of writing. We will keep you all informed if there are any changes.

24.01.2022 Our clinic is not affected by the second round of social restrictions and will remain open as normal. Just to reiterate, since the latest update from our Prime Minister, Allied Health is an important part of our national healthcare system and remains currently unaffected by the new measures. We perceive ourselves to be a low risk business and have extra systems and protocols in place to manage the NT’s outbreak well. We will update you all regularly.

23.01.2022 Yes we are open over the Christmas break and are only closed on the public holidays. All practitioners excluding Allison will be available at their usual times. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

23.01.2022 It’s December all of a sudden and we have both been busy decorating the clinic. We like to change the theme a little every year. This year in reception we went for a natural Christmas look and put a few extra fairy lights in. We also coincidentally found Christmas baubles the exact teal colour we needed to match our branding. We will all be working through the Christmas period, only taking the public holidays off. I’ll post a separate holiday hours message in a couple of weeks to detail what each practitioner is doing. Happy December!

18.01.2022 Easter opening hours. As usual we will be open Easter Saturday, all practitioners will be here. However we will be closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. Additionally Marc will be working the next 2 Wednesday mornings in lieu of the 2 days loss due to public holidays to see his existing patients. We hope you all have a good Easter break with family.

Allied Health strengthens the capacity of our health workforce and it delivers economic value for the health system. All our Allied Health providers at Insight Chiropractic will remain open. Even though we can not help with the Corona Virus outbreak directly, we provide a service to treat other conditions that take pressure off the existin...g medical system. This is especially the case in smaller cities and rural settings where there is less access to health services. Allied health offers quick and easy access and responsiveness to treat cases within its specific scope of practice. All of the practitioners and support staff at Insight Chiropractic will continue to serve the Darwin community to the best of our ability at this challenging time. We will follow all the advice given to us by our government and by our professional bodies to ensure all of our patients are treated with care and respect.

Please keep in mind that if you do feel unwell or have been overseas recently, please contact us to reschedule your appointment for at least a fortnight. That way, we help to minimise the risk of any exposure to our patients and staff to Corona Virus. Even though the NT has only had a small number of viral cases and those cases were due to visitors we need to remain vigilant to protect the vulnerable amongst us.

11.01.2022 Hello Darwin, as per usual we will be open over the Christmas and New year period. In fact only Allison will be away, visiting family, from today until Monday the 6th of Jan. The rest of us, Adriana, Marc, Chris, Lee and David will be working as per usual. Adriana will be away from the 9th of January until the 19th as she takes our boys for a family trip to Adelaide, but otherwise it’s business as usual. 07.01.2022 On Mother’s day, Allison spent her day at her postgraduate Paediatric course discussing the latest evidence and research on Autism and ADHD. As these are two extensive conditions, the amount of information continues to grow, predominately aimed at potential causes, criteria to diagnose, and appropriate management. Allison really enjoyed this module as they delved deeper into the studies about a possible theory that involves a link between the gut and the brain, and how this c...an ultimately affect children’s behaviour. The papers discussed how our gut is our second brain, the effects of having too much "bad" bacteria in our gastrointestinal tract, and how nutrition is so important to modulate this. This module tied in nicely with the next article she has been working on which discusses nutrition and the benefits of probiotics. Stay tuned for her next article. See more

04.01.2022 A quick post from Allison. As many of you are aware, I was supposed to go to Brisbane a few weeks ago to a weekend conference for my paediatric diploma. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions put in place by the states and territories, I was not able to go, however I was given the opportunity to complete the seminars online through distance education. For modules 11 and 12 we learnt all about the ears, nose, throat, and respiratory system. We were informed with up to date research about ear infections, the array of objects children love to stick up their noses, as well as different breath sounds and respiratory disorders. Later in the week I will be posting more information about children and ears, and how chiropractic may be able to help.

Through the decades since, so much has changed, but the intent of chiropractic remains as strong as ever.
