09.01.2022 Inside the accumulator of a #selespeed gearbox - Alfa Romeo 147 was slipping back to neutral and wouldn’t take any gear except reverse. Diagnosed properly (instead of scrapping the Mechatronic assembly) as a faulty diaphragm within the accumulator. Notice in the second picture the scores along the low side (the markings opposite are from the opening process). These are lacerations that cause an internal leak of pressure which over-activates the pump.
