11.01.2022 Dear members, We would like to let you know about the new Industrial Technology and Design (Technologies) Safety Awareness and Induction course. The Industrial Technology and Design (Technologies) Safety Awareness and Induction course provides:... induction information for staff who deliver, or help deliver, curriculum in an ITD workshop environment a consistent and targeted resource to support staff working in this environment. This will help ensure all processes and practices are targeted and delivered consistently. The one-hour course has six units: Building a safety culture Hazards and risks Managing hazards and risks Targeted safety actions Summary Resources. The course will engage participants to: understand their responsibilities around maintaining a safe Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) environment for staff and students identify hazards and risks in an ITD workshop outline reporting and recording processes for best risk management practice locate departmental health and safety ITD resources. Participants who complete the course will be able to use it as a just-in-time learning resource for future reference.
