25.01.2022 Beautiful day today. Went for a drive along the beach. Still living the dream

24.01.2022 We finally say goodbye to Lake Leschenaultia after 6 weeks as Camp Hosts. As always we had a great time. Now onto our next adventure, looking after a house in the woods and 3 sheep at Dwellingup. No internet or phone service, looks like we’ll be doing like in the olden days, talking to each other .

23.01.2022 During these times of isolation we were remembering some of the awesome times we had a few years ago at Channel Country Tourist Park & Spas, Quilpie, Outback Queensland. Great video taken to promote Outback tourism. Once travel restrictions lift, Dave is looking forward to continuing his ‘World tour of Australia’, armed only with his guitars and sense of humour.

22.01.2022 Went to Karratha, one spot available, too small. Went to Dampier, no spots available. Here at 40 mile beach, plenty of room and all sites have an Ocean view, perfect. No power, no water, but hey, we’ll manage.

22.01.2022 All settled in. Time for another holiday....

21.01.2022 First gig post Covid...No Zombies, great crowd, Greenhead Caravan park is Rocking.....!!!! Thanks to everyone, awesome time.

19.01.2022 Extended stay from 1 week to 4, easy to see why. Thanks to Allards Across Oz for these amazing drone photos. Lovey family, Troy and Kerry on the road with their 3 young children, and having a ball. What a great adventure for them. Troy also makes a mean home brew, in the back of his truck! Thanks for the tastings

19.01.2022 Remembering all the fallen who died for us. A sombre day to show gratitude to the ANZACs. Stay safe and isolated!!

18.01.2022 Our last day at Barn Hill Station Stay. Great time, and were lucky to camp with un-interrupted views of the Indian Ocean, spectacular. Day trips to Broome, and of course the iconic Cable beach did not disappoint. As much as we don’t want to leave, it’s time to go and to continue our travels.

18.01.2022 We arrived at Green Head Caravan Park 6 weeks ago, just before the apocalypse really took hold. Our purpose to be here is to help out on the weekend to give the owners and manager some time off. We feel privileged to be ‘stuck’ here, a lovely part of Western Australia right on the coast. As it is for everyone, we will remain here for a while until it is deemed safe to continue our travels.

16.01.2022 So our 2 months at Froggy Creek, Dwellingup have come to an end. We had an awesome time looking after the house and 3 sheep. We enjoyed the local log chopping competition, dinner and dance at the Community hall, (the band was amazing), and Sunday arvos at the nearby winery, platters to die for. Now it’s onward an upward to our next ‘gig’ further North.

16.01.2022 Just spent a few days at Port Hedland, mainly known for it’s mining industry. We stayed at Port Hedland Golf Club where we met an awesome group of European back packers. We celebrated the lovely Evelien’s 30th birthday, well into the night. Lots of fun. I visited a kangaroo sanctuary, where I got to bottle feed tiny Joeys who had lost their Mums, mainly through being killed on the road. An unforgettable experience.

16.01.2022 Goodbye Eighty Mile beach, had an awesome time. Continuing North to Barn Hill, another beautiful spot right on the coast.

09.01.2022 Our last night here at Pardoo station, where did that month go? It’s been a fantastic experience and met some very interesting people. Tomorrow we hit the dusty road again and continue on our adventure.

09.01.2022 Had a lovely stay at Geraldton. First time in a long while to have more than one shop to look around, Dave let go of my hand so I shopped . Long drive today to Carnarvon, all set up and in time for happy hour

08.01.2022 Dave’s first sunset gig at Giralia Station Stay. Lovely audience, lots of fun.

08.01.2022 Love this place, so looking forward to the weekends.

08.01.2022 Thanks to Cindy from The Grey Nomad Times for this write up.

07.01.2022 What a day! 260km round trip to get some well needed supplies, then off to the beach to watch the sunset. Finishing the day with a delicious surprise birthday dinner. Huge thanks to Paul and Alison, who went above and beyond to make my day so special. You two are truly awesome . Thanks also to my amazing husband who never ceases to surprise me.

07.01.2022 We like it here

07.01.2022 So finally in the Pilbara. Difference in temperature very noticeable. Quite a long drive today but now settled in at the Nanutarra Roadhouse. The changes in scenery always a topic for discussion.

05.01.2022 So our time here at Giralia Station is drawing to a close. We’ve had an awesome stay, and as always the days have whizzed by so fast. Dave has had some great evenings entertaining by the camp fire, and we’ve met lots of interesting people. The ‘season’ is now coming to an end as the temperatures rise. Holiday makers who headed North over the Winter for a warmer climate are now heading back down South to escape the intense heat.... We too will be heading South to our next experience. However, we do love the outback, the red dust gets into everything and the weather is either hot and dry, or hot,dry and windy, but we both feel so lucky to experience such a special place. See more

04.01.2022 Great visit to the Kalbarri Skywalk today. Awesome views of the Murchison River gorge.

02.01.2022 Great to be back at Giralia again, awesome place.

01.01.2022 That’s a wrap! Our 3 months at Green Head Caravan Park has come to an end, and what an awesome time we had. As a place to be ‘stuck’, we couldn’t have wished for a better location during iso. Huge thanks to Mark, Louis, Trish and Pete for showing us the ropes, and endless patience whilst I learnt how to book guests in. For anyone traveling up or down the West coast, Green Head caravan is a must go place to visit. So,now we continue traveling North on our world tour of Australia.
