24.01.2022 There is nothing worse than finding something you love, but it is either too big or too small. If you find a piece you like, take a picture of it, or bring it in and I can duplicate it to the size you want and change things around to your description. People are very surprised with the prices I can give them, because I don't have the overheads like retail stores have, my prices are lower and depending on your budget people are quite surprised on how much bigger the stone can be for the price. 22.01.2022 I am sorry to point this out, but...... Christmas is not too far away. It is approaching faster than we hoped for. Are you starting to look for ideas for your loved one? Women do enjoy having a set of something. Wine glasses is one........ but a nice ring and bangle to match..... Now that is special. I've been making this kind of bangle for quite awhile and add a ring, you have a boxed set. Add any colour stone, round, square, triangle or a few little stones. Melt down your old gold and use the stones you have. I've had a few clients do exactly that with this style. You can do this in white gold, yellow gold or rose gold. Here are a few ideas to help you. 18.01.2022 Ive been making jewellery for a LONG time. Sometimes you will get something in that is very special, sentimental and is priceless to them. A lovely mature age lady brought in a very badly damaged signet ring. She said she can't remember how long he's been wearing it for. So I would say a very long time. I am pretty sure anyone else would have looked at it and said sorry, melt it down and make it into a new one. But no. I could see how much this ring meant to her a...nd her husband. So after quite a lot of hours of work it is now brand new. Not everything that is broken should be thrown away. Some things are worth saving. The tears she had in her eyes when she picked it up was thanks enough for a lot a hours I put into it that couldn't be charged for. 17.01.2022 I have got to say, there is nothing better than having a client of mine send me a picture after they have received their jewellery. For instance, just recently, I had a couple who got married, and the new bride sent me a picture of the rings together after the ceremony. It was very thoughful and I appreciated it very much. 09.01.2022 A client of mine found a ring they really liked, like you'd find at a market. The design was exactly what she was looking for. She brought in the costume jewellery ring and made the changes she wanted which was more so on the shoulders of the ring. This Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond ring turned out beautiful as you can see. 09.01.2022 Some people prefer white gold to yellow gold, whether being their skin tone, preference or decide later on in life they like white gold better. So what do you do with all that yellow gold you have and don't want to wear it? I have the answer: RHODIUM PLATE IT!!! For example, in the pictures, all the earrings are yellow and after rhodium plating they are white. I have one very happy client. This procedure lasts longer on pendants and earrings than rings. My wife and I have relocated from NSW to Hervey Bay last week. We have family here and are originally from Noosa but decided to give NSW a go. My motto is IF IT CAN BE FIXED, I CAN DO IT. The amount of times I have had customers tell me other jewellers have turned their work away because of how difficult or time consuming it may be,... has definitely been a lot. 06.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all my clients. Most years I have not told my wife that I had made something for her, she just ends up with a surprise. This year, I mentioned that I was making something for her. Not sure I will do that again....... she is like a child.... "Sooooooo, does it go on my finger?" "Sooooooo is it a pendant???," My answer is always...."it's a BBQ"........ To her surprise it definitely was not what she was expecting. 04.01.2022 To all my valued clients and customers in the Clarence Valley, Its with a great deal of sadness that I have to inform you that as of the 25th June I will be leaving Maclean and moving back to Queensland. I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for your constant and much appreciated custom over the 6 years that Ive been here. I also want to thank the people who put up feedback on my facebook page or contacted me after picking up their jewellery to tell me how you... loved my work, it meant a lot to me. Just because Im leaving here though doesnt mean I cant do your Jewellery repairs and custom work any more. Since I moved down here 6.5 years ago, Ive had clients in Queensland who always sent their work through the post for me to repair. Even engagement rings, wedding rings and custom makes for customers were posted down to me and sent back when finished. As a matter of fact, for the whole time Ive been down here Ive had work couriered down to me twice a week from trade customers in Qld. I always make sure that it has tracking and a signature is required. So from the 25th of June, I will no longer be available at the address in Maclean. My mobile number of course will stay the same. If you didnt get a chance to get what you wanted repaired or made, please know I can still help you. Our 2 grown up children are staying in Maclean so we will be coming back here regularly to visit them and could arrange to meet and pick up any work you may have while were here.
