19.01.2022 Wow I'm a finalist at Blacktown City Art Centre The Life-Size Hyperrealism Oil Painting of the Mayor of Blacktown City and his lovely wife Nina. 420 hours of extreme detailing work - it's more like a hand made photograph.... It will be on display at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre from 28 November 2020 to 28 January 2021. Thanks to Blacktown City Art Centre for the opportunity and all the best to the other contestants! Blacktown Arts, Mayor of Blacktown City, Parramatta Art Society, Castle Hill Art Society, Blacktown City Council,

19.01.2022 In loving memory of my friend Arthur. The Prodigal Son Luke 15:11 Realism Oil Painting (24x36) life-size... So many artists have painted the prodigal son as a lost young man in many ways but I wanted to show the agony, the feeling of despair and the loss of appetite in the eyes of the father. I had troubles finding the right face for it, then looking at my friend Arthur, somehow my eyes were opened I knew that he is the person for it, I then had to wait a few months for him to grow his beard so I could achieve my desired look. It took about 4 sittings and over 400 photos to achieve the look and lighting I had envisioned. At the end of it all, it was pleasure painting it.

16.01.2022 Yearning for Youth V2 Realism Oil Painting - Life-Size When we are young we don’t think of Time or Age.... we think we have all the time in the world, but then suddenly we see ourselves getting old and we feel that time was stolen from us and we ask ourselves, where did it all go? When did all that happen? Not knowing that our lives are like vapours; Appearing and disappearing so quickly. Although we would like to regain our youth, it remains but a wish.... This project was on my mind since early age, I decided to go ahead but had troubles finding the right face for it. After finding the person I then had to wait a few months for him to grow his beard so I could achieve my desired look. It took about 4 sittings and over 400 photos to achieve the look and lighting I had envisioned. At the end of it all, it was pleasure painting this second realism version, (The first original version is Hyperrealism).
