16.01.2022 Queensland Labor are the only state government in Australia to refuse to deliver a Budget this year. What are they hiding?

15.01.2022 It's Queensland's largest building plan in decades. New Bradfield Scheme to secure our water. Second M1 to get you home sooner and safer. Four-laning the Bruce Highway to Cairns to get Queensland moving.

14.01.2022 DELIVERED In May 2019 we secured $1.15 million for the instillation of traffic lights at the FE Walker Street and Ashfield Road intersection! After seven years of locals calling and petitioning for an upgrade, it was fantastic to finally see some funding allocated towards the project which is now complete! ... Thank you to the hundreds of locals who signed our petitions over the years and to the parents and staff at nearby schools Bundaberg Christian College, St Luke's Bundaberg and Kalkie State School who have supported our calls for change. And, of course, a huge thank you to Bundy Mum Carmen McEneany who has been at the forefront of this fight for a number of years using the intersection at least twice each day when taking her kids to and from school. People power and persistence certainly pays off. With your continued support on October 31, lets continue working together to build a better Bundaberg and get Queensland working again. #Batt4Bundy #BuildingABetterBundaberg

12.01.2022 Only the LNP has a plan to get Queensland working again. On 31 October, change the government. Vote 1 LNP.

11.01.2022 COMMITTED An LNP Government will invest $1.92 million to install flashing school zone signs at all 24 schools in the Bundaberg electorate to remind motorists to slow down. Flashing school zone signs are a proven method in reducing the speed of motorists during school zone times, protecting the safety of students, staff, pedestrians, drivers, and their passengers. ... While some school zones in Bundy do have flashing signs, there are many of others that don’t including some street frontages that have no signs whatsoever. The LNP has a strong focus on improving education and increasing road safety around our schools. With your continued support on October 31, lets continue working together to build a better Bundaberg and get Queensland working again. #Batt4Bundy #BuildingABetterBundaberg

07.01.2022 DELIVERED In June 2019, our Bundy community was finally successful in convincing the Queensland Government that we need a new hospital! Fighting for a new Bundaberg hospital has always been my number one priority and it will continue to be. ... I used my very first question in Parliament to seek a clear timeline for the planning of a facility and I won’t stop fighting until I see money in the budget and shovels hitting the ground. As part of my recent ‘Batt’s Biggest Bundy Community Survey’, 81% of participants told me they support building a new Bundaberg hospital. A new Level 5 hospital will benefit our entire region, from patient care to the local economy. A new hospital will provide our hard-working health care staff with the modern, well-organised working environment they deserve, as well as entice other health professionals to move to the beautiful Bundy region. And, of course, a new hospital will benefit you the residents of Bundy. A new hospital will mean there will be more treatment options available locally, allowing patients to have access to necessary healthcare right here at home with the support of family and friends, rather than having to travel elsewhere. Planning a new hospital is a long and complex process which is currently in the detailed business case phase which is expected to be completed in 2021. This process will confirm what a new facility hospital will look like, what it will cost and what services will be available. Our current hospital has served our region well, but we have greater needs now and they need to be met sooner rather than later. With your continued support on October 31, lets continue working together to build a better Bundaberg and get Queensland working again. #Batt4Bundy #BuildingABetterBundaberg

05.01.2022 Like the four generations of my family before me, I’m proud to call Bundy home. This is where I was born, where I grew up and it’s where my wife and I have raised our two beautiful daughters. I will always stand up and fight for what Bundy residents need, want and deserve. ... I have loved every moment of serving Bundy and am proud of our achievements in my first term as your State MP. But, there is more to be done. With your continued support on October 31, lets continue working together to build a better Bundaberg and get Queensland working again. 02.01.2022 COMMITTED: LNP WILL INVEST $40,000 FOR PHOTO FINISH EQUIPMENT AT THE BUNDABERG ATHLETICS CLUB The Bundaberg Athletic Club And West Bundaberg Little Athletics has been operating since 1958 and plays an important role in our local community providing competitive and social sporting opportunities for residents and kids! For 7 years now, Bundy Athletics has wanted to purchase Photo Finish Equipment but haven't been able to due to a lack of funds. ... The Photo Finish technology is recongised by IAAF World Athletics, key peak bodies for state nominations and provides international and national qualifying times. The technology also provides a photo of the finish in case of disputes and does the work of 9 place judges and 10 place timers, freeing them up for other duties at the Club. Having the Photo Finish Equipment will mean Bundy Athletics will qualify to host prominent competitions throughout the year, bringing hundreds of competitors and their families to our region and expanding the opportunities presented to the club and it's members. To provide the club with the technology it needs and deserves, an LNP Government will invest $40,000 for the purchasing of Photo Finish Equipment. 01.01.2022 The LNP will invest $100,000 to extend the current CCTV Camera network in Bundaberg. I’m very aware that issues like hooning, theft and vandalism are escalating within our community. As a former police officer of 23 years, I know how important community safety is. ... Everyone deserves to feel safe. That’s why a future LNP Government will invest funding to extend the current CCTV camera network in Bundaberg. More CCTV cameras in Bundaberg streets will deter officers, assist police, and give residents peace of mind. Read more here: https://www.davidbatt.com.au/lnp-will-invest-100000-to-ext/
