23.01.2022 A big weekend for our volunteer firefighters, all in preparation for preparing ourselves and our community. From important Hazard Reduction burns, qualifying in storm recovery and working from heights, to equipment maintenance and a variety of Exercises to test our skills, plus a cat stuck in a drain and it’s another busy 48 hours for Davidson Rural Fire Brigade!

Just last night our crews were sharpening skills on building fires, a good chance for our Breathing Apparatus (BA) crews to practice structural firefighting, search and rescue and entry techniques. 17.01.2022 BUSHFIRE - CURRIE RD, FORESTVILLE Crews have responded to investigate a report of bush alight at Currie Road, Forestville. This has also triggered a notification via the Fires Near Me app. After a patrol, a small fire safely inside the perimeter of the weekend’s Hazard Reduction burn was located and dealt with. 13.01.2022 On this day last year NSW recorded 17 concurrent Emergency Warnings. Communities in the Blue Mountains, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Walcha, Armidale, Namb...ucca, Kempsey, Tenterfield, and the Mid Coast were all being impacted by fire. At 6pm 94 fires were burning across the state. While the losses on that day were significant they could have been far worse were it not for the extraordinary efforts of firefighters and community members. See more

03.01.2022 Tomorrow (Wednesday November 18), RFS crews will be assisting our colleagues from Fire and Rescue NSW with a small hazard reduction on the Pipeline Trail that r...uns between Allambie Rd and the Wakehurst Parkway. This is an important hazard reduction that provides strategic protection to residents of Madison Way, as well as the Arranounbai School and the various disability support services in the area. Residents in the Allambie Heights, Bantry Bay and Frenchs Forest areas can expect to see smoke in the area from 8:30 a.m. for a period of a few hours. Local crews will be taking advantage of ideal conditions over the coming fortnight to complete a number of important hazard reductions across the Northern Beaches.
