25.01.2022 Hi All hope everyone had a great christmas and would like to wish everyone a happy new year.Dont forget to lock in the 7th march 2021 for the A&ASP State show to be held at Elmore for all Appaloosas, Spotted Ponies and Palouse Ponies,a very full program with lots of ribbons and prizes.Also there is the APPA State Show coming up on 17th jan at Horsham for Palouse Ponies and Spotted ponies are eligable to enter.Also has an open ring.Cheers and stay safe.

25.01.2022 Hi All, The Appaloosa and australian spotted pony State show will go ahead this year provided no more lockdowns.Only just over 2 weeks till show so please think about entries.All entries will be totally refunded if something happens between now and show date. Just a reminder there are day yards available at no cost for anyone wanting them at Elmore.Look forward to seeing lots of new and return competitors.Cheers.JD.

23.01.2022 Just a reminder the Appaloosa and Australian Spotted Pony State show is to be held on 7th march 2021 at Elmore.Open to all registered A&ASP /AAA and APPA horses and ponies.We have our great sponsor Barastock on board with lots of feed vouchers.Also lots of cash prizes as well as Trophies/Garlands by Di Kemp and ribbons to 4th and 6th in some classes.Please try and support this show as we are all working hard to make it happen.Program and entry forms on Web page and facebook page.cheers

22.01.2022 Hi All, entries have now closed for upcoming State show at Elmore on 7th march,however you can still enter but will have to pay late entry fee of $3 per class.If allready entered and want to add classes this can be done on the day. Just a few items ,due to people travelling on the day I have decided to have a 9am start instead of 8am as advertised. Caterer will be there at 8am so please support them as it is hard to get people to cater at these shows. I have also had a direct...ive from Elmore that all dogs must be on a leash at all times and NO DOGS to be inside indoor complex. Thank you to all those that have entered and we have good entries so should be a great show for all to enjoy and have some fun. 21.01.2022 Snuck a quick photo shoot in of Ashlyn and her champion filly before the rain. We didn't make it to Sundays events so took these at home. We are very proud of how are youngsters went on their first time out. Will post some photos of our Champion colt (soon to be gelding) tomorrow

17.01.2022 Here's the photo of our lovely colt wearing his champion sash from Saturday's show. Billy will be a colt for 2 more weeks only as he's now starting to feel himself. He still behaved very well on Saturday for his first time out. Was ALOT going on and he took it all in without being spooky. Very proud of our ponies

14.01.2022 Bonnie had her first wash today. (Just a quick hose off) She wasn't fazed at all. She's taken everything in her stride so far.

11.01.2022 Updated pics on our babies. All growing nicely. All 3 are now very friendly and super easy to handle. Very happy with our lovely natured babies. Bonnie losing her baby fluff and is looking like she's going to be black roan, Gem is going to be a nice rich chestnut and Bobby a lovely bay

11.01.2022 Reminder to all Appaloosa / Spotted Ponies and Palouse Pony owners our A&ASP State Show is being held at Elmore on the 7th march. Program is now out and can be viewed on A&ASP web page,we have some great prizes /trophies/sashes and ribbons to fourth place and 6th place in some events,there is also over $1000 in cash prizes on offer. There is a lot of work goes into putting on these shows so your attendance would be greatly appreciated. 08.01.2022 Hi All we are happy to announce that we have a caterer booked for our show on 7th march,they will be there for breakfast and lunch on show day. Would love to get lots of support for this show as there are some substantial cash prizes and lots of gifts ,sashes and trophies to be won.cheers.

04.01.2022 Hi All with the new restrictions coming in soon regarding non triming of muzzle hair on horses at shows we here at Davilair Stud have made the decision not to trim muzzle hair and also feather hair on legs.We do not clip our ponies either.It was pleasing to see at our first show today since covid that the judge did not discriminate against our ponies for non trimming.This is our personal choice at this stage,but may be introduced to show ring in future.

03.01.2022 Davilair Stud travelled to the APPA State Show held at horsham at the weekend.We had a very successfull show with our ponies.My daughter Karen handling our mare Dancer showed her professional skills and came home with lots of ribbons.My grandaughter Ashlyn I was very proud of handling her young filly at only her second time out and did very well with lots of compliments. The highlight was Ashlyns walk trot event that she was stressing about,she did a perfect workout and looked superb on Dancer winning first place,well done Ashlyn. We also took allong Davilair Billy Royal who got reserve champion to his full brother Prince.He has also survived being a gelding as we delivered him to his new owners on the way home from the show.Well done to Karen Fisher and all her helpers for running a good show.
