25.01.2022 Report and photo from Trekka 2 skipper Nat Turner... "Hey Bill. We ran up to Double Island Point on Monday on a nine hour trip. Conditions started off a bit lum...py but smoothed out by the time we got up there. We ended up getting our bag limit of squire with the odd bigger snapper mixed in, along with Maori cod, venus tusk fish, pigfish and trevally. There was almost no current so we were able to use soft plastics and floating baits for the snapper. Cheers, Nat." www.fishingnoosa.com.au/fishingoffshorenoosa.htm See more
25.01.2022 From Jimmy Free, Noosa River Fishing Safaris... "Hey mate. Visitors from Brisbane had a blinder in the lower estuary this morning. Tahlia Gartners 71cm golden ...trevally went for a live herring. Nickys 50cm golden jumped on a prawn and Greg Shipmans 57cm flathead took a peeled prawn. All fish were released." www.fishingnoosa.com.au/riverfishingsafaris.htm See more

24.01.2022 Not a bad start to the New Year here in Noosa. Blue skies above low lying cotton wool cloud. Rain in the early hours but quite clear now apart from a rain band ...crossing the outer bay. A 10 to 12 knot variable southerly breeze blowing at the river mouth. One small boat out around Halls Reef but no others headed out while I was there between 6.30am and 7.00am. Not much swell on the bar crossing. A bit sloppy either side though. Tide: Roughly three hours before a 2.1m high tide. BOM forecast is for east to south easterly winds 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots north of Noosa in the afternoon. 22.01.2022 Report and photos from Trekka 2 skipper Nat Turner... "Hey Bill. We ran nine hour charters up to Double Island Point on Friday and over the weekend. The bottom ...fishing was tough with a strong northerly current and sharks making things interesting and some areas unfishable. Regardless, we still managed to land a few quality pearl perch, venus tusk fish, moses perch and Maori cod. We also spent a few hours trolling around the pinnacles at D.I on Sunday and managed a handful of longtail tuna on Halco deep divers. 21.01.2022 Fish of the Week entry from Jim Brodie... "After a good night bagging a couple of snapper and a 45cm moses in the shipping channel, spent a long day on Saturday... out around FAD 7 and a favourite little rock to score some reefies on chunks of bonito. After wrapping what would've been a PB around the fad we opted for a Hail Mary drift at another nearby fad. Lots of bird activity all the way from the beach to Jew Shoal but only very small surface bait and apparently no predators around.
