25.01.2022 Happy new year to all parkrunners, we had a great turnout today for our special New Years day parkrun with 67 official finishers and several unofficial runners taking part today. Congratulations to Declan Sommers who was first across the line in a magnificent time of 16:17 only 29 seconds off the Dawesville outright male record time and on achieving a new Junior 11-14 record. there were 4 new PB's today, well done to everyone getting a PB today. The good news is you can do it all again tomorrow for Dawesville parkrun #271. Hope to see you all in the morning, have a great new years day.

20.01.2022 Good Morning parkrunners!! what a fantastic turn-out for our 5th Birthday Celebrations, where we had 97 participants who walked, jogged or ran our 5km course this morning. Big congratulations to the 24 parkrunners that gained PB's today and a big Dawesville welcome to our 20 Newbies/Visitors, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and hope that you'll become a regular face at our awesome event. I'd like to give a shout out to our Vollies who helped immensely this morning who were :... Stewart Henderson, Dave Tams, Anna Spencer, Skye Milne, Paula McFaul,Brian Osborne & Wayne & Christine Bullard, without people like this each week we simply couldn't function, so THANK YOU. Victoria captured loads of smiles, dedicated faces, air shots, pram pushers, happy kids, doggy kisses and the true spirit of our parkrun community. 19.01.2022 What a colourful turnout for Dawesville Parkrun's 5th Birthday! :-) Hopefully I managed to capture everyone, had some focus issues this morning, so some are less than perfect. Sincere apologies if I blurred you, or missed anyone entirely. Enough excuses and apologies haha.. enjoy the photos! 18.01.2022 Thanks for coming to Dawesvilles 2nd parkrun of the year. It was a lovely morning with plenty of wind which kept the flies away. We had 8 Personal Best Achievements, WELL DONE! A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers who take the time out of their weekends to help us all out so we can run or walk and enjoy our morning. 11.01.2022 It's been a while since I've been on here. Happy Thursday! If you didn't already know, this Saturday is a rather special one. The last time the 29th fell on a Saturday was 1992 meaning nobody has run a parkrun on the 29th of Feb. If you miss this year your next opportunity will be in 2048! It's also a friends 6th birthday. It's taken an incredibly long time for him to officially be 6. ... I reckon I got pretty lucky in being RD for this special week. Let's keep this goodluck going for the rest of the year. Make sure you come down and run on this rare day and don't forget to wear your RUN DOWN UNDER TSHIRTS (if you are a member***.) - Jen

She has volunteered 16 times this yr for us, she always lifts the pen and writes her name on the Volly Roster, she always asks how you've gone in your 5k, is always friendly and smiling and we all think the world of her . 08.01.2022 What a great day, congratulations to everyone who got out of bed and turned up today, particularly all the volunteers. A special congratulations to Charles Bosveld who not only ran his 100th parkrun today but did it in style as the final 5km of a full marathon starting from his home in the early hours. you should have received your results in your email by now but you can click on the link below to go straight to them. 05.01.2022 This here is the face of Persistence! This Junior parkrunner has been attending for the last 6-7 mths, he doesn't like coming each week, we can see this on his face BUT he gets up, shows up and gets it DONE!! His hard work and persistence is paying off, he's getting PBs regularly, his fitness and confidence is growing each week, and we are ALL very proud of him! Keep up the great work Matthew Whelan, we're all right behind you with words of encouragement, and you're an inspiration to us all ......keep on doing what you're doing!

02.01.2022 Today we celebrated a BRAND new incentive today at parkrun it was called the Dawesville Dunny Roll Run!!! Congratulations to Nick Moore who didn't only earn himself a PB but also was the first to cross the Finish Line and win the latest prize of a Toilet Roll! Enjoy and Well Done
