25.01.2022 When 180 members of the congregation gathered at a picnic in March 1899, Ps Dan's great grandfather, William Nugent, offered land on which to build a church on Lacey's Creek Road just north of the cemetery. In a very short time sufficient funds were raised to build the church and open it free of debt on 21st October 1900. They would have had no idea that 120 years later we would be celebrating their achievement. Thanks to Carmel Bond and the Dayboro History Society for the picture of the church relocated to the heart of the township in 1924. Today we reflect on the thousands of lives touched by the ministry from this little church over 120 years and give thanks for God's provision for all of that time and continuing into the future.

13.01.2022 During our 120th anniversary service last Sunday, Ps Dan reflected on a sample of people who contributed to our story. One of them was Walter (Wally Herron) who was Sunday School superintendent here in the 1920s. He lived at Closeburn. In 1933 he responded to a call to go to Bolivia as an aviation missionary serving the sick and poor. He did this until, in 1964 when his Cessna crashed high in the Andean Mountains of Bolivia just 30 minutes from La Paz. He along with his Boliv...ian co-pilot and the latter's two small children met instant death, and the cause remains somewhat of a mystery. Two faithful Bolivian villagers traveled 18 miles over mountain trails that cold night to advise town officials of the tragic accident. He gave 30 years of magnificent missionary service and was awarded Bolivia's highest honour - the Condor of the Andes knghthood. See more

12.01.2022 Back by popular request this Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Uniting Church, Dayboro - in the heart of Dayboro, near the Post Office. Parking in back and front streets. Heaps of great bric a brac and delicious cakes, biscuits, jams, marmalades, pickles, plants, books, tools and craft.

06.01.2022 This Sunday we will be celebrating the birthdays of Carmel Bond, Coral Keogh, Jeanette Gregory and Mary Wyatt. It is also the 120th birthday of our church building and we will celebrate that on a Sunday morning in November.
