23.01.2022 Tomorrow is National Health and Physical Education Day (HPE). HPE has been designed to raise awareness of, and advocate for, a greater focus of Health and Physical Education in our schools. The theme of HPE day is Good for Children, Good for Schools and Good for Communities and in 2020 HPE Day will be celebrated on Wednesday 2nd September 2020! The Health and PE department encourage all our students, staff, parents and the wider community to celebrate HPE by getting outside... and being active . Go for a walk, a jog, ride your bike, jump on the trampoline, dance in your lounge room. When it comes to how to get involved, the only limit is imagination so get moving, because every step counts!

The College would like to invite Parents and Carers who work in creative industries to speak to students about their experiences. This may be done via a video call, or recording. These discussions will provide our creative students with valuable insights into what it takes to work in a creative industry. Art & Design Hub runs in room A4 during lunch on Friday. 15.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE We will be operating exactly the same as we did last term. For students the main points to remember are: students are not to attend school if they display any COVID-19 symptoms; students need to regularly use the hand sanitiser; desks need to be wiped down in the middle of the day; classroom layout stays the same; and lockers are still not available. The only change that affects students is the introduction of Flexischools for placing recess and canteen orders (refer to last weeks email sent to all parents/carers and students). If any questions please contact the College on 5348 2367.

15.01.2022 YEAR 12 CELEBRATION DAY THANKS Running a Yr 12 celebration day during these COVID times was some acheivement. So many do's and don'ts and everything is so much more expensive. We wouldn't have been able to send our Yr 12s off in style if it wasn't for the kind generosity of the the Daylesford Community. A massive thanks goes to the Daylesford Foundation, the Bendigo Community Bank, Daylesford Community Op-Shop and Spade to Blade. Without their support yesterday would not have been possible. We have a great school and a great community. Thanks again and take care everyone.

14.01.2022 ART & DESIGN HUB We have just received a delivery of shiny new badges and we are pretty wrapped with the result. Earlier in the year students had the opportunity to submit a design for our Art & Design Hub badge. We had plenty of great ideas but after counting the votes Bernard Kelly won with his Angry Carrot man illustration. Congratulations Bernie!

13.01.2022 At the moment it is more important than ever to check in with our friends and family to see if they are okay. We are on the other end of an MS Teams chat or email. Take care of yourself, take care of each other and we cannot wait to see you back at school next term.

04.01.2022 Just to clarify what is happening with lockers. We had hoped to use then again from the beginning of term. But with the significant rise in COVID cases in Melbourne, we have been advised to wait until there is some certainty. One of the main reasons keeping lockers closed was the significant cleaning required.

02.01.2022 COLLEGE PRODUCTION HELP REQUIRED Unlike almost every other school in the state we have not cancelled our annual college production. We wanted to give our students something to look forward to and a sense of normalcy during these uncertain times. Unfortunately there is a chance that we wont be able to have a real audience attend and so we are formulating a Plan B (just in case). Our Plan B is to stream it live online or record it in advance and stream it over several nights.... We are putting the call out to any locals who have expertise in AV recording and/or streaming online to help us make this happen. Please share this around and please contact the college on 5348 2367 if you have the expertise in this area. Thanks in advance! Stay safe everyone.
