24.01.2022 Today in the Inventor’s Class we learned the Emblem of Australia is the Golden Wattle. We looked at images of the Golden Wattle tree and used the images as our inspiration to create these beautiful finger paintings.

15.01.2022 Celebrating Waitangi Day- the national day of New Zealand. We created a Korowai cloak with ‘feathers ‘, window art Maori face masks and used red and black pens to create an artwork inspired by Maori art.

14.01.2022 In recognition of today being National Apology Day the children showed respect through creating collaborative art work. Hand prints using paint colours symbolic of Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal flags were used.

03.01.2022 Bushfire awareness being explored through art and craft. A 'fire' was created on a paper plate and the children too turns to drop water onto it to put the fire out.

02.01.2022 Daystars Cup was so much fun. Everyone was a winner and took home their certificate of participation

02.01.2022 Happy Valentine's Day. The children in the Explorer's room explored the celebration through a cooking experience. Eveyone measured and poured ingredients into the bowl and then took turns in mixing and kneading. Heart shaped cutters were then pressed into the dough and cookies were created. The children then took the tray to Mr Jack to be cooked. Everyone enjoyed eating the cookies for afternoon tea!
